May this be an offering, not a performance. May it rise from truth, not fear. May I be guided not by outcome, but by integrity. May I release all grasping and pour only what is real. May this serve even one heart—and let that be enough. May I remember: I am not selling. I am devoting. May I be unattached to who comes, who buys, who claps. May this be a sacred act of remembering who I am.

Today was MLK Day, so a federal holiday here in the states. We spent the weekend in Gatlinburg with my brother and his family and returned home today. Spent the rest of the afternoon after we got home doing school projects with the kids (due tomorrow, nothing like the last minute!) and swapping out the rug and pillows in our living room. We repainted our kitchen cabinets from white to a really beautiful olive/pewter green just before Christmas and so I’ve wanted to update the rest of our open concept living area to coordinate. It was well overdue and always fun to get a good upgrade on a very small budget. What a difference fresh pillows and a new coat of paint can make!
All that to say, I didn’t work at all today. Or since Thursday last week. We’ve been cozied up at the cabin in the Smoky Mountains for the past 3.5 days and I did little beyond read, go in the hot tub, hike with the fam, and play games. It was perfection, especially snuggling my 4-month old nephew, Townes, who is the best therapy in the world.
AND, so far, I’ve made over $5,200 since I stopped working for the week, which is an average of $1300/day.

I’m back in bed after being up for all of 10 minutes to get the kids off to school. And funny enough I just stumbled across this article about wake times.

I feel so validated. I’ve never been a sleep past noon person (except maybe after late night partying in college) but I’ve also never naturally woken up before 7 am without an alarm clock and dragging myself out of bed. This makes me feel like there’s nothing wrong with me, and that sleeping from 10/11 pm to 8 am is a perfectly acceptable and even healthy sleep habit. Now if only I could get rid of that pesky early morning drop off with the kids, ha! School in Atlanta starts at 7:45 am and it’s just so dang early. What I wouldn’t give for an 8:30 start time.
Anyway, I digress. I stayed in bed for an hour reading and playing my farming game because yes, I’m still addicted. I’ve also been able to read 8 books while I play (listen to, I should say) so it feels like a really nice mental escape where I don’t get bored or distracted reading because I have something to do with my hands.
After getting ready for the day, putting on actual clothes for the first time in days and getting some breakfast and coffee, I’m at my desk and already feeling that familiar, “OMG THERE’S SO MUCH TO DO” feeling. Rachel is also completely OOO this week on a cruise, so I’ve got some extra responsibilities I don’t normally do. But we decided that it’s perfectly acceptable for a 2-person business to take vacation and let anything that’s not a true URGENT and IMPORTANT message wait until she gets back to handle. “We’re not creating oxygen.” is a mantra we repeat often, one I got from a friend, Adrienne Dorison, years ago when I was learning from her how to grow a team and business to Run Like Clockwork. So that’s what I’m reminding myself this week, especially as it’s a shorter week due to the holiday yesterday and I’d really rather not work on Friday if I can help it. So, as usual, let’s start with the brain dump:

Oh my gosh. I didn’t track any of my time today but I have barely stood up from my desk except for a couple potty breaks for myself and Ferg. It was a whirlwind day of back to back calls and other than emails, Skool and Voxer, I did little else in between it all. Very much looking forward to a quiet day tomorrow to get some deep work done. And I’m definitely going to need to work a bit tonight to catch up. It’s hard losing my admin day on Mondays and then being thrown into a super busy call week. But I’m ending the day on such a high after having the best 1:1 calls today. I love my clients and my job so much!
Kids are home now so I’m going to go spend some family time with them and then come back to this later… hopefully. Sometimes I say that and I just can’t get my brain to turn back on after dinner so we’ll see how it goes. I definitely need a break now though and if nothing else I can always attempt to wake up early tomorrow and you know, actually start work before 10 am, ha!
Okay kids are in bed and I’m about to be, too. A day full of so many calls wiped me out and there’s no way I can get my brain to work so I’m going to take a melatonin and a bath, read my book and try to be fast asleep by 10 pm latest so I can wake up early tomorrow.
Success! I’m asleep (wrote this the next day, obvi)
Wednesday Jan 21, 2026
Woke up and took the kids to school so Mattie could sleep in. I need to get out so that I’ll be less likely to stay in bed. We also picked up Gem’s friend on the way to school as a favor and it made me wonder why we don’t carpool more often!
Back home and getting situated for the day. Cleaned up the living room quickly, took the dog out, made my electrolyte drink and now am cozied up ready to work. Of course the first browser tab I saw was for the pillows I was looking at so that sucked 20 minutes out of my life before I started working.
Okay looking at my to do list, updating this doc and ready to get to work. Top priorities this morning are to update the shop pricing and get to Inbox Insights, which is a day late because Tuesday was a Monday this week. Then I’ve GOT to get a few emails sent out for promos and then I really need to get to back to Tara as I don’t want to hold her up any longer. Ahhh, so much to do!
I also canceled 1 appointment for this afternoon that wasn’t urgent, rescheduled a morning appointment that they wouldn’t let me move to another day without charging me $300 (WTF?!) for a later time this afternoon and had major JOMO when my friend who I’m supposed to have dinner with tonight rescheduled. I’m going out of town again next week for an entire week so I need to buckle down for some focused sprints this week so I can rest without worry next week.
Updating all the shop pricing and pages. This is going to be a multi-phase project but I at least need to change all the pricing now that the flash sale is over and I need to come back and debrief how it went, too.
Inbox Insights time. I also did some Voxer coaching during this time as I have an Intensive coaching daywith a beloved client.
Quick breakfast/snack break and going outside to let the dog out for a few.
Need to quickly respond to a few helpdesk emails since Rachel is out.
Okay now need to respond to some 1:1 clients on Voxer. And then I’ve GOT to get these emails sent out today.
Quick lunch break. I ordered a shit ton of Chinese food last night for dinner because I knew I wasn’t going to have time to cook this week. Thanking past Kate for giving me a delicious lunch today with no effort required.
Okay, Rachel pre-loaded the What’s Happening email today and I just need to go in a make some edits. Note to self: done is better than perfect, especially today.
I did it. I wanted to do more, and I stopped myself. Just get this out. It is more than good enough. Now to write the affiliate webinar email about ads. This is a last minute squeeze in but I really love Tara’s membership and figure I can send one quick email about it and if it gets me 1 sale, great!
Super quick and easy. Now to write the 2025 Debrief invite emails.
A little context: I’m doing a flash sale for the $1k/Day Experiment next week and I thought a cool way to sell this would be with a webinar-type event since those convert really well for me. But I want to do a live debrief of what worked and what didn’t in 2025 for $1k/Day members so I figured, why not charge for it for everyone else because I don’t just want to make it free and devalue what you get in $1k/Day. Then I got the idea to make it juicy for people and risk-free to join the $27 debrief by saying if you decide to join The $1K/Day Experiment within 48 hours of the training, we'll apply your $27 ticket toward your first month, making it completely free.
I’m going to use this launch to try to grow my annual members and offer a one-time only offer of lifetime access to $1k/Day for $397. I’ve got some juicy KKcredit bonuses for people who upgrade to annual/lifetime and then other than this live debrief, I’m just going to send 4-5 emails. I have an amazing base in Notebook LM now with everything from $1k/Day there so I’m going to use that to help me draft the slides and graphics and even the emails. Hopefully I can get everything done for this in less than 10 hours total and then add TK in recurring revenue.
Right now, I have 139 active members in the experiment. I’d like to add around 100 new members during this launch, which is a super aggressive goal, especially because I don’t have time to run ads. BUT I think I can do it. If I can get
- 50 people paying $27/month
- 25 people paying the $197 annual
- 10 people paying the $397 lifetime
We’d almost be there. And that would bring in $10,245 in cash for January, plus recurring subscription revenue each month. So that’s my best goal. My good goal is probably more like:
- 25 people paying $27/month
- 10 people paying the $197 annual
- 5 people paying the $397 lifetime
- = $4,630 in cash collected
That would be converting 1% of my 11k+ email list, which feels doable. I want to find copies of all the past emails I’ve used to promo 1K/Day and write some new ones to make them even juicier and more compelling. Given the price point, I really feel like this should be a slam dunk. But you really just never know what’s going to work and flop, so you just gotta try.
Done. Quick break and regroup. I’ve got to leave just before 2 to get to my appointment, so need to get my ducks in a row for the rest of the afternoon. I’m going to do Telegram office hours while I’m driving. And then when I get home I need to:
- Respond to Stripe chargeback (ugh!!)
- Get back to Tara in ClickUp with all my feedback
- Write the WSL
Now that I’ve moved some things around on my calendar, I’m going to use tomorrow to get the rest of my ads up and running and get my $1k/Day promo plans laid out clearly and make portal updates.
I’d love to outsource the rest of the shop updates to Tara or maybe even Jayce. That just doesn’t feel like the best use of my time. So going to see who is available for a quick turnaround on that.
Back home. Was able to do Voxer coaching and Telegram office hours from the car. Am significantly more hairless than when this day started (ha! TMI!) and now I’ve got 1.5 hours to wrap up the rest of my to do list for today before I gotta take Jackson to OT, where I can also work a bit. So I’m going to start with this awful chargeback that somebody issued for Voxer coaching that they never used, never reached out to us about and have now ignored our 4 follow up messages to get this resolved without having to go through a formal dispute process. Sometimes I really hate people. Like why do this to a small business instead of just talking to them? All for $44? Part of me wonders if I should just walk away from it and let the dispute ride to save my time and energy but alas, I gave ChatGPT the info and it wrote a lovely letter I can use with a couple screenshots and hopefully this will be an open and shut case.
What a waste of time. I probably should’ve just eaten the cost because now this has really affected my energy and mood. Karma will do its job though, I really believe that. And small business owners who treat their fellow SBO’s like this will get theirs.
Now going through Clickup notifications to get back to Tara on a bunch of stuff that’s waiting on me for approval or edits/feedback. This is the downside of outsourcing. I find it hard to keep up with and stressful knowing when people are waiting on me for something.
Whew, Gem is home and I’m going to stay with her while Mattie takes Jackie to OT. I got through all but 2 notifications in Clickup which I hope I can finish tonight after the kids go to bed. Whew, it’s been a very full week! Looking forward to some R&R and glad I bookended this busy week with rest on both ends.
Gem and I decided to take Fergie for a walk, which was great for me to get outside and move my body after a day spent working non-stop. Afterward, I did about 30 minutes of work on the new Room sales page and the new $1k/Day sales page (feedback to Tara) and then decided that was it for the day and I needed to eat dinner and chill.
After the kids were in bed, I turned on my audiobook and played my dumb farm game until I fell asleep around 10:30. My new fave combo.
Thursday, Jan 22, 2026
Up with the kids, Gem having a very hard time waking up lately and after fighting us to move her body from our bed for 15 minutes, she decided she was going to find a new home and new parents. She was so sweet about it, it was kinda hilarious. I always remember this story my dad told me that when he was a kid, he told his mom he was running away and she packed him a lunch and helped him get his suitcase together and I thought it was so funny. So I took that approach with Gem this morning, told her I would miss her terribly and cry for her every day but to let me know where she landed and make sure to call. Mattie confirmed she knew my phone number by heart so she could reach us and ironically, she then decided that me and her were going to go together and leave the boys (except Fergus, of course). All that to say, my morning was a combo of adorable and hilarious and challenging and if that’s not parenting in a nutshell, I don’t know what is.
Back up into bed with my electrolytes, my laptop and my dog. I feel like doing some work from here this morning even though I’m not actually that tired, which is a nice feeling. Just want to be cozy. So ready for winter to be over. I enjoy the cold for about 1.5 weeks and then I just lose all motivation to get dressed, leave the house or do anything besides be cozy and horizontal. I don’t think I could ever live somewhere truly cold. Atlanta is plenty for me.
I text Jayce to see if she had time this week to help me make some website updates so I’m going to record a quick Loom for her of what needs to be done and then get started on my ads so that hopefully they can be running by late morning. Will feel so good to have those done!
Ok recorded the Looms for Jayce. Then just spent a few minutes confirming I answered everything in Telegram for office hours yesterday since I did it while driving.
Took a quick peek at the $1k/Day new sales page again and decided to create some graphics for it in my new fave AI tool, NotebookLM. Cannot believe this is free and the graphics it’s putting out are INSANE. Like I would never in a million years be able to create anything so beautiful, detailed and perfect. Take a look at this one it just created:

Here’s the prompt I used in case it’s helpful:
Make the design feminine, soulful and slightly spiritual and celestial. Some of my brand colors are #2D3456 #A6AFBB #E3C3BA #9B6A61 #A97A4D but focus more on the light, airy, ethereal colors. Less text and more visual elements.
This needs to be a graphic that visually shows this feature of the $1k/Day Experiment on the sales page: 🔬 Experiment DiariesInstead of weekly to-do lists or trackers, you get structured experiment diaries.
Each diary shows:
what I’m testing
why I chose it (and what I said no to)
what data I’m watching
what actually happened
what I’ll repeat, refine, or drop
You’ll see experiments around: paid traffic, SEO/GEO, pricing and profit margins, offers and AOV, sponsorships, tech stack changes, and capacity-aware decisions.
This is about learning how to evaluate ideas, not chase them.
Ack, okay admittedly I got caught up in doing lots of little things, namely playing around making more graphics in NotebookLM, just now and off-track from my core focus which is to get ads up and running.
And now I’ve got to get ready for a coffee chat with my friend Gemma Bonham-Carter.
So here’s my to do list for after the call:
- Create video ads per Laurel’s strategy to build invisible list
- Set up retargeting sales ads
- Write WSL
- Get Tara JV webinar info
- Get Jayce new bump offer info
- $1k/Day Experiment Promo plans
- Update the $1k/Day Portal
Going to listen to my book (Cleopatra and Frankenstein which I am LOVING!) while I get ready.
Catch up call with my friend Gemma.
Ahhh such a good call with Gemma. Love her so much! We both realized that we need to continue to simplify and stay focused on doing ONLY what’s working well to optimize revenue without increasing time or expenses.
And this is now the millionth time lately that the idea of doing a weekly/monthly live webinar that you run ads to is the way to go. I’m going to do that, and cancel some of the other new ideas I had for things. Why would I change it up when I have a webinar that’s converting at 11% right now? Just do it live once a month, invite my affiliates to promote it too, refine, optimize, rinse, repeat. So simple!
I’m going to come back to this idea later because right now…it’s time. No more dicking around! I’m going to give myself 30 minutes pomodoro to knock these ads out. I don’t know why I’m procrastinating so much on them when I know they work. Am I allergic to money? Ha!
And actually, before I do that, I need to eat something, or so I’m telling myself so, quick breakfast break and THEN I MEAN BUSINESS. Oh my god, this is so embarrassing having to share this in real time how much I’m procrastinating.
Whew. I did it. My video ads are running a la Laurel Portie’s conveyor belt ads (the goal here is to create an “invisible list” of warm leads to retarget who have watched 25% of the video). So I have 4 videos up and running now and the Replient automations (this is what I use instead of ManyChat) set up to give them what they need if they comment.
Then I got 6 ads set up to sell MBA. Next week I want to do the same for The Room and $1k/Day as those are my 3 core offers I’m selling this year. It took longer than I thought but mostly I used NotebookLM and Descript to help me make the videos, which I just repurposed from the webinar I hosted in October. So thank you AI! I also used Laurel’s customGPTs to write the ad copy and hardly changed anything. Figured I might as well try it like this at first.
So now I’ve got $5/day running to video view ads.
$200/day running to my free challenge tripwire funnel
$25/day running to MBA sales page
And hopefully by next week, I’ll have $25/day running to Room sales page and $25/day running to $1K/Day sales page. Super excited and of course slightly nervous because that will be over $8,400/month in ad spend. So it really needs to work. YOWZA!
Mattie asked me if I could take Gem and her friend to dance at 3:45 so my day is being cut a bit short… grrr. But I’m going to try to get in a solid 30 minutes of work while the girls dance their hearts out. I’ve got weird hermits mastermind coming up at 2:30 and I still need to write the WSL and get Tara and Jayce their marching orders. I’m going to try to do the latter right now given time constraints and then hopefully will be able to write the WSL at dance. Let’s gooooo!
Weird Hermits call.
Hopped off the call to go scoop the girls up and take then to dance.
Okay I'm here and I have a whole 25 minutes to write the WSL. Let’s go.
The girls found me, dance is over, now it’s onto Chick-Fil-A and play dates. That took the next 2.5 hours and by the time we got home at 7:30 I was a zombie. Crashed on the couch while Mattie did bath time and did the usual farming, ha! Why do I like this game? It’s so dumb!
I put the kids down around 8:30 and then vegged on the couch watching Portlandia with Mattie until I was ready for bed.
Friday, Jan 23, 2026
I don’t normally work on Fridays, but because this was a short week with Monday off and I’m going to be traveling for 7 days starting on Monday, I’m going to get a few more things done today.
This morning, I slept in and then did a bunch of errands and chores around the house that have been lingering. Had a doctor’s appointment with my cardiologist about this medication he wants me to start for my POTS, which I’m reluctant to add ANOTHER pill but also if it helps and gives me more energy, I’ll take it! So I’ll start that when I get back from my trip next week.
Alright, this is my first bit of work for the day. I have about 10 minutes left max to finish the WSL so I’m going to start there.
Whew, done with the WSL. That feels good to cross off. I’m going to take a breakfast break now and then when I come back, I’m going to get the new sales pages for $1k/Day and The Room completed as Tara made the revisions I requested and I cannot wait to see!
Apparently, I could wait to see, because once I got cozy on the couch, I didn’t open my laptop again until it was time for a pod leader training call for the Mixermind right now. Eh, it’s Friday. I’ll get to it! Onto the call for now.
We’re meeting with a behaviorist and dog trainer for Fergus for 8 sessions to deal with some snapping he’s been doing at the kids and some house training regressions. This’ll take most the rest of the day so I’ll come back later.
I never did end up coming back to work on Friday. But I did spend a few hours over the weekend working on the $1k/Day Sales page and am super happy with how it turned out… what do you think?
= daily average of $1,285
I know I need to make at least $1700/day to reach my goal of $1k/Day in profit, so this week fell below that. But I also am not looking at weeks as isolated incidents and prefer to track the whole trend both by monthly, quarterly and 12-month rolling basis, so you’ll see that reflected in the income reports.
HOURS WORKED: 30 HOURS
HOURLY RATE: $300/HOUR
