🕊 Bhakti Business Blessing

May this be an offering, not a performance. May it rise from truth, not fear. May I be guided not by outcome, but by integrity. May I release all grasping and pour only what is real. May this serve even one heart—and let that be enough. May I remember: I am not selling. I am devoting. May I be unattached to who comes, who buys, who claps. May this be a sacred act of remembering who I am.

9 am

Wake up. My in-laws were in town this morning so I took advantage and let them do the morning routine with our kids. They came in to kiss me before they went to school and I went back to sleep after not sleeping well the night before (up from 2-4 am after my daughter woke me up).

Got dressed and went on a long walk with the pup, talking to a friend half the time and listening to The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue the other half. It’s so chilly here this morning, I love it!

10 am

Back home, made a cup of coffee with collagen protein and sitting down at my desk. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all of the stuff I want to do this week, so starting my morning routine (if you’re new here, check out past diaries for my start-up ritual in Toby) and then will make a to do list.

10:45 am

Spent some time in Ads manager checking my stats, making some tweaks to my ads. Feeling a bit overwhelmed with what’s going on in the account now that my tracking is off and it’s making it impossible to tell what’s actually working. Ugh! Really want to get my tracking system set up but I know it’s probably going to take me a full day to do and I need to carve out the time. Thinking maybe I will cancel all launches and promos for December and just focus on getting some systems stuff done like this, though really don’t want to wait another 7 weeks to do this.

11 am

Checking in with Voxer clients as I had a handful of messages from over the weekend that I needed to get to.

11:15 am

Writing email for Becoming Boss Bundle since that has to go out today!

11:55 am

Taking a lunch break. Chatting with a friend.

12:30 pm

Co-working call with the Weird Hermits about Skool. They’ve also been supporting me bigtime with this legal issue of my sponsorship gone bad, and several of them have had horrible experiences with this host too. All I can think is that no matter the outcome of my specific situation, this is going to catch up with this person. You can’t not do what you say you’re going to do this much and to this many people and not have karma eventually come for you. So for me, no matter how this ends up, it’s a win-win.

2 pm

Call with my Mixermind. I really kinda wish I skipped this one as much as I love this group, if only because I had so many things I wanted to do today and didn’t get to nearly enough. But relationships > to do lists, right?

3:30 pm

Retreat prep call with Mixermind while I tried troubleshooting some pixel BS that’s been happening with my ads and Facebook has been WAY overcounting my sales, which is really dangerous for ROAS. I think I got it fixed but that took way more time than I wanted to and was definitely head banging against a wall annoying.

4:45 pm

Alright, off all my calls. I’ve got like 30-40 minutes until the kids get home. Definitely ordering pizza tonight or going out to eat. I’m beat and have no food at the house to cook. I think I will write the first webinar invite for the anniversary sale, which has to go out tomorrow. And if there’s time, I’ll respond to the sponsorship legal issue, ugh. I hate doing this shit. I hate that she’s putting me in this situation. So shitty.

5:20 pm

Kids are home, got interrupted by a phone call and email is about 70% complete. I’m looking forward to starting over tomorrow. Today felt hard. Going to go snuggle with my maniacs and get some love.

We ended up walking up the street to get pizza and salads for dinner and had a great time playing Jenga at the table and just being off our phones and together. Thankfully everyone was in a good mood (which is definitely not always the case at the end of the day or after a big transition like first day back at school after a week off), so I’m feeling super grateful.

Stopped and got ice cream on the way home and then curled up on the couch and watched Bluey while the boys played Chess. So cute!

After the kids went to bed (it was Mattie’s turn last night), we watched Jennifer Aniston on Armchair Expert. I love that these are videos on Youtube now, so fun!!

10 pm

Up to bed. Finished reading Culpability and started my new book, Heart the Lover though I fell asleep pretty quickly.

7 am

Wake up with the kids, help them get ready for school and eat breakfast. Everyone was so sweet and snuggly this morning. I think we all really missed each other after Fall Break when they went to Savannah to camp grandmas. Mattie is headed to VA this morning for a day trip and will get back late tonight so I’m solo parenting tonight, which I’m actually looking forward to. Sometimes the kids are easier and better behaved when it’s just one of us.

7:30 am

Kids are out the door and I make some coffee, start a load of laundry and get back into bed with my laptop and my new fave work accessory, this heated back massager for lumbar support (my lower back has been really bothering me lately, which is probably from working from the couch too much, oops!). I just got some lab results back so I’m reviewing those with Mildred (what I call my ChatGPT) and a customGPT I’ve created that is trained on books and resources to help me manage my PCOS, hypothyroidism and mental health (I also have OCD and panic disorder/PTSD). Mostly good news but a few questions I sent over to my endo so we’ll see what he suggests.

8:30 am

Check email, ClickUp and Skool.

9 am

Get up and do a weighted mobility workout. These are my new favorite things. It’s like stretching meets yoga meets weight training in one, no jumping, no HIIT (which I really hate these days) and I actually get sweaty and feel like my aging body appreciates this kind of movement so much more.

9:45 am

Take Fergus for a walk and listen to my book. I pretty much always have 1 audiobook and 1 Kindle book going at a time these days, though I’m 11 books behind schedule to hit my goal of 52 books this year. Are you on Goodreads? It’s my fave, come follow me and share what you’re reading too!

10:30 am

Home, eating some hard boiled eggs with TJ’s everything bagel seasoning and doing an energy clearing ritual in my office before I start work. I love using Tibetan singing bowls for sound healing and sage to cleanse my space and my mind. Said some prayers about some personal stuff going on with my family and now updating this doc while I listen to a Vagus Nerve playlist.

10:55 am

All caught up here and need to finish the webinar invite email for MBA’s anniversary sale. You coming? RSVP here.

11:27 am

Done with the email. Then I updated Skool with it and the links to the folks who commented they wanted to attend.

11:36 am

Now gotta respond to myInbox Insights clients. I’m almost at capacity for this offer now, so if you want to get in, I’ll be closing the offer down after I sell these last 2 spots.

12:32 pm

Wow, I have the best clients. I am loving working with this current group of email clients, they are serious action takers and it is SO fun to see their results every week. Now gotta go get ready for the Room call. I sent Rachel a Voxer about being overwhelmed last night and she reminded me what’s most important today is Inbox Insights clients, The Room and setting up ads for the webinar. So I’ll be doing that after our live call. Everything else can wait. Love having her support, she’s just the best!

Had a quick lunch before the call, leftover burger and fries with a diet coke. YUM!

1 pm

Hosting silent co-working call for the Room. Going to try to start setting up some ads for the webinar during this time though will be multi-tasking a bit since folks will have questions.

Was able to set up all the funnel tech and pixels for the ads. Now need to write the captions and create some graphics for this.

2:02 pm

Off the call and texting back and forth with my endo about my lab results. I love him so much and the concierge model is so perfect for me and my need to get questions answered in the moment. I’m so grateful I can reach him anytime. Took a quick break and now moving outside to work from the porch for a bit.

2:35 pm

Time to set up those ads!

5 pm

Wow, that always takes me so much longer than I want it to, even with AI. 7 graphics to test, 5 copy variations and I’m testing 4 different audiences: warm leads, wide open, marketing interests and lookalikes of my email list, buyers and purchase pixel. $20/day optimized for leads except I’m just doing $10/day for warm. I’m also going to turn off a couple of my other ads right now to save my budget and also because tracking is still screwy (UGHHHH!) and I feel like maybe it needs a reset.

If we can get leads for $1.50 to sign up that would be like 46 leads/day and 322 total sign ups projected. So then if we can convert 1% of those that would be $3k and I would’ve spent about $490. FINGERS CROSSED. I haven’t done live webinar ads in YEARS so I’m cautiously optimistic but mostly really excited.

198 organic leads registered so far, wahoo!

5:20 pm

Now time to get Jackson’s stuff ready for soccer practice and go pick them up. Mattie just landed, yay!

Soccer practice was so fun, I don’t know how these kids have so much energy! They were so cute running around and I love the parents and chatting with them (though one of the dads kept calling me Katie… 🙄). Ordered from a middle eastern place so we’d have dinner when we got home. Kids got showered and we ate and then watching mountain biking videos on Youtube for a few minutes before bed (omg, this is my hubs new fave obsession (hello AuDHD) and even though he hasn’t even ridden a regular bicycle in YEARS, he’s convinced he’s going to be a pro-mountain biker and spends all his free time researching it and watching videos. He’ll wear himself out of this hobby before he ever steps foot on an actual bike LOL).

The kids have been angels since they got home from camp grandma, so I’ve been soaking up the ease of this week with them and just really feeling the love for them. It was so nice to miss them so much, something that admittedly doesn’t often happen when I get a break. We watched an episode of Sopranos and then went to bed early at 9!! I ended up reading for an hour though and am loving Heart the Lover.

Note: This was really exciting to see a sales day this high when I’m not launching/flash selling/promo-ing anything. This just happened thanks to my evergreen systems!!

7:15 am

Woke up in my daughter’s bed. She came into ours again last night, like always, but was so thrashy and kicky that I had to go sleep in her bed just to stop getting slapped. Got up with the kids, made them breakfast and they were off. Got back into my bed and read my fave email newsletters for an hour and a half…. I was behind a few days on my rollups.

8:45 am

Came downstairs, responded to my Day of Voxer client to kick off the morning, checked in on my new webinar ads (which are of course not reporting correctly… FB says 9, Kartra shows 2. WTF! I am so over this shit), and caught up on this doc.

9:20 am

Now going to head out on a walk with the pup and then do another weighted mobility workout when I get home.

10:30 am

Whew, that was a gorgeous LONG walk. I needed it. Felt so good to be outside, moving my body. And guess what? Walking through the city streets of Atlanta, I came across a young buck. I have literally NEVER seen a deer in our urban neighborhood so I felt like it had to mean something:

Check, check, check!!

Now getting some breakfast (lamb lebnah sandwich from the middle eastern place last night, omg so good!) and coffee and Voxing with my client. Definitely want to work mostly outside today. It’s pretty chilly but I’m loving Fall.

11:35 am

Alright just had a long Voxer sesh and it’s so fun to help people really simplify and focus and see their minds blown. Now I have to catch up on several other Voxer convos that have been sitting for a couple days. It’s a day of Voxer for sure–I’ve also got office hours with y’all in 2 hours!

12:11 pm

Whew, done with all the Voxer…for now. Going to take a little personal break and do some meditating and calm my mind now. Feeling a bit anxious. I started a new medication and it’s making me a bit nauseous so that’s not helping things.

12:38 pm

Got a text from Rachel reminding me I need to create a pop-up for our webinar next week. Doing that now! Then need to write the WSL and the 2nd email invite.

12:49 pm

Alright I only have 10 minutes before I have a call with my doc and I feel so nauseous. I’m going to go take a Zofran and sit on my porch.

1 pm

Great chat with my doc, figured out what’s going on, feel great about our plan. Zofran kicked in and I’m back feeling good! Phew!

2:15 pm

Back to Voxer. Oh boy, this has been a very full day of Voxer, which makes sense given that I’ve got a new Partnership client onboarding, a Day of Voxer client, and $1K/Day Office Hours. 2 hours later and I’m looking the calendar for tomorrow because I don’t know if I have it in me to write an email now…though shoot I do need that webinar invite to go out tomorrow. And I’ve got some personal calls tomorrow morning so yeah, I’ve gotta do that. I’ll save the WSL to write tomorrow potentially. AI to the rescue??

4:20 pm

Writing the webinar invite email.

5:12 pm

All done. Was more perfectionist about it than I needed to be. Oh well. Responding with my last message to my Day of Voxer client and then signing off that app.

5:25 pm

Checking emails and just piddling around my computer until the kids get home…

5:40 pm

The maniacs are back!! More tomorrow. XO

8:15 am

Get up. Despite going to bed early last night (in bed again by 9:30 and reading for a while) I was so tired this morning and just could not get up, so Mattie let me sleep. My hero.

8:30 am

Met with Jackson’s psychiatrist about his ADHD meds and are going to try out doing an evening booster to help with his crash when he gets home from school.

9 am

Couples therapy. Honestly the favorite part of my week. I’m so obsessed with our therapist and I always feel so connected to Matt afterward. We’ve kind of turned this into individual therapy at times with the other being there to bear witness and it’s been so helpful in us understanding each other better. Terry Real says if you’re a couple, all therapy should be done together and I’m starting to see his point.

10:15 am

Off therapy and coming to sit outside in the sun for a few minutes and catch up on some things on my phone before I start work.

11 am

Came inside to make iced decaf and hard boiled eggs then grabbed my laptop and came back out to the porch. My fave place. Caught up here, checked in with a few stats (my ads reporting is still way off, but I’m super happy to report I have over 450 registered for the webinar next week. That’s the most I’ve ever had by like 3x. Rachel and I are so excited about how many people this means we can help!)

11:15 am

Need to write the WSL, let’s goooo! I’ve got a good idea for this one.

12 pm

Done! Just in time for my mastermind call with the Weird Hermits. Ate lunch on the call. We all spilled some tea about some not-so-great experiences we’ve had with some big names in the industry and what we plan to do about it. Having this kind of support is too good for words, I can’t believe how lucky I am to have this group of people in my corner.

2 pm

Off the call and dealing with the “legal” issue from my sponsorship and checking a few emails.

2:30 pm

Hopped on a call with my Mixerminder friend who does ads for Stu McLaren and is going to help me troubleshoot why my ads aren’t tracking correctly. We identified it’s a Kartra form issue but something only Kartra can fix. So I have to wait on them. The good news is, the ads aren’t tracking but they are working and I’m getting a CPL of about $1.58 right now so I’m going to scale this up to see if we can get 1000 people registered. We’re at 465 right now with about 20% of those registrations coming from ads. Wahooooo!

3 pm

Chatting with Kartra support, sending the email to the summit host trying to get this made right, and cleaning out my inbox, kinda bebopping around trying to tie up some lose ends all around. So much going on in my brain right now. Need to literally close out some open tabs on my browser and clear some space so I can finish writing and get a clear plan for our MBA anniversary sale. Will definitely be working tomorrow.

4:10 pm

Computer is about to die so I guess I will go inside, literally been out here ALL day. Gotta take Jackson to OT in a bit and will bring my laptop to continue getting some work done.

5 pm

Alright got Jackson to his appointment and now getting my laptop out again to do some work. I ended up watching a few trainings I’ve had bookmarked and open tabs for, an ads training, an affiliate training and then learning more about Skool’s new tiers. I don’t think I will have any paid memberships on Skool because I love having everything in one place in Kartra, but I do like the Freemium model. Then I updated some settings in my Replient.ai account because I realized I had the hierarchy off.

6 pm

Jackson and I went out to dinner together and I’ve just enjoyed him so much this week. He’s so sweet and he tries so hard. Came home and responded to some Voxers from Rachel while Mattie gave the kids a bath. Then we watched some Dumb and Dumber together again (we introduced it to them on Thursday night and now they’re obsessed and I’m reliving all my childhood inside jokes!). Bedtime, my turn, so upstairs we go for books and songs and I’m back down on the couch by 8:30.

Mattie and I watch 2 episodes of the Sopranos while I get some emails answered and some odds and ends done on my laptop, mostly around fixing all of my Kartra pixels and troubleshooting why my ads aren’t tracking properly for the webinar ads.

Love being over my goal without doing anything special. Just a normal day!

7:15 am

Up and getting the kids ready for school.

7:40 am

Back into bed with my laptop and getting back to Tara on some of the tasks I’ve delegated to her. Super excited about what she’s cooking up.

11 am

Omg I need to get out of this bed. I basically felt like I couldn’t move forward with anything until I completely cleared my mind of all of these lingering to dos and things people were waiting on me for and ClickUp tasks and oh boy. I’m moving outside for a bit and then NEED to write the emails for next week’s MBA sale.

12:45 pm

DONE! I feel so much better. So many lingering things checked off including some Room milestone rewards to keep our members involved and then setting up some airtable automations, Zapier to handle it for us. Cleared off a bunch of other projects and now I’m going to go take a walk and then come back and write the dang emails.

2:30 pm

Back from my walk and ready to write. Let’s do this!

9:30 pm

Whew, well that took me a while and I’m only about halfway done. I spent a lot of time gathering testimonials too and really thinking strategically about the order of emails. I went through all our past MBA launches and funnels and picked them emails that had the highest click rates and direct sales according to Kartra (the stats are always lower than they should be but it’s a start) and I put them into a big Google doc and then uploaded them to Claude and ChatGPT to see what worked well about them, what was missing, what I should do differently for this particular launch. So helpful! I came up with my plan and wrote and wrote and edited and wrote some more. I took a break for dinner, probably 30 minutes or so, somewhere in here. But the kids always come home on Fridays from school exhausted and only wanting to veg on the couch with their iPads because they aren’t allowed devices during the week. So everyone was quiet and happy and I just kept going. I’ll likely work for a few more hours on Sunday to finish all the emails and then get started on my webinar on Monday (nothing like the last minute, right?!).

I obviously almost never work weekends, but I’m a bit time crunched for this one and feeling really lit up and excited as we have over 600 people registered, which is more than I’ve ever had by like 3x. Shooting for 1k by Tuesday.

ChatGPT Analysis:

Total Hours Worked: 38 hours Total Revenue: $7,434 Hourly Rate: $196/hour Theme: Deep work + emotional exhaustion + high output = productive, but at a cost. Energy leak: Ads tracking + legal stress + perfectionist spiral on writing. Energy gain: Voxer coaching, cozy family time, walking + fall weather.

System Snapshot:

  • Evergreen systems are finally working beautifully.
  • Ads are functioning despite poor tracking — the irony is thick.
  • Creative bandwidth is back; emotional bandwidth is tight.
  • High alignment week, but not sustainable at this intensity.

This is the most hours I’ve worked in a single week in… I don’t even know how long. Wow. I’m kinda floored at how much time I put in as I haven’t gone over 25 hours in years. I think a lot of it was prepping for the MBA Anniversary Sale (especially ads and writing emails), plus a lot of time on Voxer this week with clients and potential clients. Also a bit expected because I will be OOO the first week of November and need to get a lot completed before I go.

This number does not include affiliates or sponsored content. It’s only for my own digital products and coaching. I think this is one of the highest weeks I’ve ever had without launching. I know a prior week in October, I made over $10k without launching or flash selling anything, just evergreen sales. I hope this trend continues. WOW!

Where did my time go?

  • Writing & content: 26% — emails, WSL, income reports, promos.
  • Ads/tech setup & troubleshooting: 17% — pixel hell + campaign setup.
  • Admin/inbox/planning: 17% — mental clutter disguised as productivity.
  • Meetings & live calls: 13% — Room, Mixermind, therapy, etc.
  • Client coaching (Voxer + Inbox Insights): 11% — peak flow zone.
  • Ops/learning: 3% — automations + trainings.
  • Misc: 13% — family interruptions, context switching, emotional processing.

🧩 Pattern: You’re spending your prime creative energy on fixing systems, not designing them. That’s not a time problem — it’s a boundary + delegation problem.

🎯 What Went Well

  1. Evergreen engine is alive and kicking. You made $7.4K in passive revenue without a launch OR posting on social media. That’s the dream scenario — and your best testimonial for clients who doubt social-free systems.
  2. Client engagement is high-quality. Inbox Insights and Voxer clients are thriving. You’re nearing capacity, which means it’s time to start raising the floor (price or structure).
  3. Webinar momentum is strong. 600+ registrations and counting — your ad and funnel systems are doing the heavy lifting, even with imperfect tracking.
  4. You’re working from peace, not panic. Yes, it’s a heavy week, but the energy is grounded. You’re tired, not frantic. Big difference.

⚠️ What Didn’t Work (or Could’ve Worked Better)

  1. You lost a day (or three) to pixel purgatory. Tracking chaos keeps hijacking your creative zone. You’ve built systems too advanced to manage alone — it’s time to outsource ads analytics fully.
  2. Perfectionism disguised as “strategy.” You rewrote, reanalyzed, reuploaded — but the emotional ROI didn’t justify the hours. “Done and sent” would’ve been 90% as effective in half the time.
  3. Too many tabs open — mentally and literally. You used the phrase “bebopping around” and “tying up loose ends” multiple times. That’s code for decision fatigue and scattered dopamine chasing.
  4. High output = low recovery. 38 hours might not sound like much, but given the mental intensity of your work, your nervous system likely needed a bigger decompression cycle.

💬 Summary in One Sentence

A powerhouse week where the systems outperformed the stress — but perfectionism and tech chaos still tried to steal the spotlight.

✨ 5 Insights Readers Can Learn from This Week

This week was a strategic sprint, not a relapse into old hustle patterns. I worked more hours than usual — 38 instead of my typical 20ish — but it wasn’t from panic or pressure. It was investment energy.

I’m setting up tracking systems I’ve put off too long, refining a funnel I want running on autopilot, and getting my MBA anniversary sale prepped before I leave for eight days on a beach in Mexico. After that? I’ll come home, prep for our BIG Black Friday sale, and then take most of December off, no promos or launching or flash sales, just recovery, working on some backend systems, reflecting on 2025 and prepping for 2026.

So yeah — it was a big week. But a conscious one. Here’s what you can take from it:

  1. Strategic Hustle > Chronic Hustle. Hard work isn’t inherently toxic. The problem is when it’s aimless or never-ending. This was a planned push with recovery baked in — a reminder that intentional intensity can be powerful when you know rest is on deck. I’m calling this week what it is: an anomaly. Necessary, productive, but not sustainable long term. The real win isn’t how much I got done — it’s that I won’t make this my new normal. The pause is already planned.
  1. You don’t need a launch to make thousands — you need a system. Evergreen wins again. Automation compounds; social media burns out.
  2. Done beats perfect, but perfect disguises itself as “strategic” for high achievers. Catch yourself mid-analysis and choose simplicity.
  3. Energy tracking is as important as time tracking. The tasks that drain you most often aren’t the ones that take the most hours.
  4. Rest creates ROI. Your highest conversion days happened the day after pizza, Jenga, and ice cream — not during grind marathons.
  5. Boundaries aren’t constraints; they’re creative protection. The more structure you add (e.g., batching Voxer or CEO Fridays), the more freedom you’ll have to write, walk, and think.
