Watch Me Build: Lead Magnet + Ads

Live build session, June 25, 2026.

Transcript

00:00 Kate Kordsmeier: Rachel, I'm like, running around this morning. I'm like, what am I building again? Oh my gosh, I need to like get my head on straight. And so you guys are really getting the like true behind the scenes of like, okay, I'm just starting this from scratch. What am I doing here? So no problem. If you want to have your camera off or on, whatever is comfortable for you. And I'm going to be sharing my screen in a minute. Rachel was telling me in the help desk that we've gotten some really good feedback on what you guys want to see from today's call. And so I want to have y'all answer in the chat too, as we're going through this. I have two different lead magnets that I'm thinking about building, and I would love y'all to vote on which one you want me to build. And then secondly, I think you guys are maybe more interested in seeing me set the ads up than you are in seeing me put together the lead magnet. But correct me if I'm wrong. So I guess I know I'm just gave you two questions. First and... Let me know, are you more interested in the lead magnet piece or the ads piece? Okay, ads from Tisha, Raquel says ads, Allison says lead magnets, Tara says both, Angela ads, lead magnet both. Okay, so it's a good mix, but definitely. Well, I just want to make sure that we don't spend too much time on the lead magnet and not enough time on the ads. So I think what I'm going to do is, okay, so the lead magnets that I'm thinking about, I've kind of started this process already for one of them. So part of me feels like this might be a faster one to do, but not necessarily. So the first idea I have for the lead magnet, right now, I have my Beyond the Scroll four day challenge. It's an audio only challenge for leaving social media. And I've been running that literally for years, and I haven't even updated it ever since it's been running. I think it's been running since like, what, 2023? 01:58 Rachel Silves - Team KK: 2023. think 2023 or maybe even 2022. 02:03 Kate Kordsmeier: it's been going a long time. And it's what I send my ads to. Okay, wait. A participant has requested to start AI Companion. Okay. 02:14 Rachel Silves - Team KK: And we've literally sent like thousands of people through the Beyond the Scroll challenge. 02:19 Kate Kordsmeier: Yes. And it converts really well for me. So there is this part of me that's also like, why are you going to mess with something that works, right? But I also launched this new lead magnet in February of this year called Algorithms Anonymous. And it's more of the like the mindset, nervous system work that you need to do to feel safe to actually pause on social media. And it's so good. And I spent so much time putting it together. And I'm really proud of it. And I, you know, it's kind of punny with the AA, the AA thing. And that's something that is. . Unfortunately, near and dear to my family. So I also feel like I just I love a 12 step program. And I really love it. As I was looking at my lead magnets, I was like, both of these things kind of do the same thing. They both help people leave social media. And I don't want all of my lead magnets to do the same thing, right? I want to have different kinds of lead magnets to attract different types of people at different stages and all of that stuff. So my thought was that I was going to combine these into one lead magnet and it would be called Algorithms Anonymous and it would be a combination of the two things. And I kind of started building this with Quad, mostly just like talking through my idea a couple of weeks ago. And then, of course, it was a project that like got started and then I forgot about it and got distracted with other things. So. That is option one. Option two is the out-of-office guide. I really like this idea, too, and I definitely want to build this one. This would be totally from scratch, and this is how I've been able to take maternity leaves. I've had two maternity leaves that have brought in over six figures combined. I took a six-month sabbatical in 2024 that made $70,000, and I did zero live marketing, including emailing or anything the whole time. And I didn't batch things in advance and things that I did for maternity leaves and stuff. So I want to turn that into a lead magnet. So what I'd love for y'all to do live here is vote which one should we build here today? Should we rebuild Algorithms Anonymous, or should we build out-of-office? So put in the chat. Okay. Rachel says out-of-office. 04:53 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Don't touch it if it ain't broke. Don't fix it if it ain't broke, Kate. 04:56 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay. I know. I know. Also, I don't know if I want to move away from the beyond the scroll. 05:03 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I'd call it the AA, so I don't know. 05:05 Kate Kordsmeier: . Okay. Okay. Well, it seems fairly unanimous. There's a couple votes for AA, but almost everybody else is saying out of office. So great. All right. That's what we're going to build. This will be fun. So here's what I'm thinking. I'm going to share my screen now. And... When do you want me to stop you, Kate, so that we can move into ads if we haven't already? Yes. Let me look at my calendar here. 1230. Okay. Stop me at 1145, which is 1045 your time. Okay. 05:42 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I'm going to do... 05:43 Kate Kordsmeier: . Let's not spend more than 40-ish minutes trying to build out this... Okay. 05:48 Rachel Silves - Team KK: ...magnet. 05:49 Kate Kordsmeier: Awesome. 05:49 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Okay. 05:50 Kate Kordsmeier: So I'm going to start a new chat in Claude. I'm going to change this to Opus 4.8 Effort High. to Opus I'm.8 So So And I am going to say, oh, you know what, we should use co-work because we're getting 2x usage. I'm just seeing this here. Let me do that instead. And I got to reshare my screen because I think that will be better usage wise and all of that. So new task and co-work. All right. Let me come back. Share. I'm just going to share my entire screen. And I need to close my text. So you guys don't see all of that. Okay. All right. So I'm going to come here. We're doing Opus 4.8. And I said, hi. Okay. And I don't actually need it to work in a folder right now. So I'm not going to choose anything. I'm just going to say, I'm going to build a new lead magnet for Success with Soul called Out of Office, all about how to take extended time off. And I have three blog posts that I've written on this subject that I'm going to give you to read through and make sure you fully understand what I've done thus far for maternity leaves and sabbaticals. And then I think first what I want to do is brainstorm what the lead magnet could look like. I know I want it to be interactive and dynamic, not just like a static PDF. I'm open to ideas. I'm not really sure yet. All right. So I'm using Whisperflow, my favorite tool. Let me open the chat here, too, so I can show you guys. Oh, thanks, Raquel. just saw your note about beyond the scroll helped me build trust quick. That's great. I mean, maybe I shouldn't mess with it. Maybe I should leave it. Okay. Okay, so Whisperflow Referral. No, that's not it. Okay, well, I'm going to just put this in the chat because I love Whisperflow and you'll see me using it a lot today. And then I'm going to come over to the blog and I'm going to pull up those posts that we're looking for that I've written already because why start from scratch when we already have stuff? I already have a lot of stuff on this. So I need to just find my posts on, oh, you know where I should go? Actually, this will be faster, is income reports. And then I have, so I've got how I made $58,000 on maternity leave. This was my first maternity leave. So I'm going to drop that. with that. Thank Then I had another baby in 2020, and I made $135K on that maternity leave. And then I did my six-month sabbatical, and I made $67K on that. All right, so now I'm going to feed that to Claude. So let me know in the chat, like, any questions you have or wanting to understand more of my thought process or why I'm doing certain things. I'm trying to, like, narrate my thoughts out loud, but if I miss something, let me know. But, my first thought is basically just I've already written blog posts on how I did this, and let's just have Claude read those and then put together a PDF based on those things. I'm hoping that it's going to be able to pull out some patterns and themes and things that I did during all of these time-off periods that... I'm hoping that... I'm hoping that... I'm that... that... I'm that... Thank We can put together into some kind of lead magnet. So Claude's reading this. Whisper flow, Angela, is when you see me, if I go like this, I'm holding a button on my computer and then I'm talking and it's transcribing what I'm saying. And if I say let's meet at five, no wait, four. So now see here, it updated. It like fixes your mistakes. So I said, if I say let's meet at four, it only put that instead of let's meet at five, no wait, four. and it transcribes Siri. It makes Siri look like a kindergartner. Like, I don't know about you. Oh, shoot. I think that broken link is from whisper flow. Sorry. I think maybe it's success with soul dot co slash whisper only. Maybe let's try that one. okay. Claude is back. So let's see what Claude is saying here. Read all three. Here's what you've actually built across them. You should have three data points. three points. from that, that form an arc, not three versions of the same story. So mostly solo with a part-time VA, the mechanism was brute force prep. That is true. I batched and scheduled so much in advance. This was also my 2018. I only had one business. It was called Root & Rebel. It was a traditional blog that earned money from ads, affiliates, and sponsors. So it was a very different business model. And yes, so that makes sense. Okay. 2020. Planned again, but now the money came from Systems. Yes. The Evergreen Webinar Funnel, pre-batch podcast season, five nurture series, SEO archive, plus a real team. Oh, Kaylee, you were from the Root & Rebel days? I didn't know that. I love that. 2024. The important one. Unplanned force, no team, no launch. Wasn't truly no team. Rachel was here with me for like... work five hours a week. Is that what you were doing during my sabbatical? 12:03 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I was mostly doing just customer service, and we are coaching a few one-on-one clients together. 12:11 Kate Kordsmeier: that's right. So I only worked five hours a month during my sabbatical, and Rachel worked five hours a week. So even between the two of us, we were only working like 25 hours for the month. 12:25 Rachel Silves - Team KK: . 12:27 Kate Kordsmeier: So that was very different. Tisha, I like your hair. Last time I saw you, was a different color. It looks great. Okay, the arc is your whole differentiation. Most take-time-off content assumes a planned prep-able leave. You can speak to the founder who chose a sabbatical and the one who hit a wall and had no choice. Nobody else is holding both. The mechanisms that actually made money while you were gone cluster into a handful of pillars. Funnels, SEO, email automation, passive income, affiliate and product income, batching ahead, a lean team. team and the mindset layer. mean, yes, that's exactly it. On interactive, not a static PDF, you're right. Here's the sharper reason. A quiz or tool captures email, segments the list by where they're weak, and the part I like, the lead magnet itself, becomes tiny proof of concept. Okay, I don't fully understand what it's saying there, but let's see what the directions it suggests are. One, can your business survive without you scorecard? Oh, that's interesting. So y'all are going to have to vote. Like, I need you to be active in the chat and tell me. Like, what would you actually want here? Because sometimes what I want or what I think is good is not what other people actually want. So this would be a scorecard, like a quiz, basically. Mapping each weak area to a next step. Highest converting mechanic auto segments your list. Okay, I do like that idea. The passive income audit, which is like a calculator, they enter their revenue streams, splits their income into active versus passive. and shows what percent of their income would actually survive a three-month absence, the oh- moment. Okay, for some reason, I don't like that as much, but I see, okay, Tisha says maybe two. Three is the out-of-office plan builder. They pick a leave type, a date, and it generates a personalized countdown. Ooh, that's kind of cool. I like that. That feels like the most useful. It's almost too good. I could see that, actually. Choose your path interactive guide. Branches on leave type. Pulls the relevant playbook. Easiest to build. Okay, now I don't really like that one. So I kind of like, I like one and three the best, and maybe there's pieces of it where it's like, we are looking at the different revenue streams they have and how much is active versus passive. Okay, I'm looking at the chat too. lots of ones and threes. Okay, great. And then I'm thinking that, so this is like a plan builder. I like that it's like a countdown. It's giving them something to do each time. But I think because it's a freebie, I don't want to just give them everything. Like here's exactly, okay, make sure you have tripwire funnels set up on all of your lead magnets, for example. Well, I'm not going to tell them how to do that. I'm going to say, you can get this in our tripwire toolkit course, right? So it's, I need it to be, it's the first step in leading them to buy my offers. Okay. So which direction? I'm going to say number three, but maybe with some kind of scorecard or audit baked in, including even a passive income audit. And then each step, instead of giving them the how, would point them to one of our courses that teaches the how, or just to MBA, so that the lead magnet is getting them ready to buy our offers. Okay. What's the primary job? Grow and segment the list. Feed paid offers. Both equally. I would say both equally. Okay. How to build a business to run without you, being completely dependent on you. Tara, I feel like, I mean, that is kind of what this is, but I'm trying to come at it from a more specific angle because there's so many people out there talking about generally, like, how to build a business that runs without you. Even that's, like, what we teach generally inside MBA and all of our programs, right? But this is like if you have your business set up so that you could take an extended leave and still make money, then you have created the business that runs without you. And like when you come back from your leave, you can choose now to work as much or as little as you want, depending on your goals. And like that was very true for me when I came back from my sabbatical, especially when I came back from my maternity leaves. Those, those were obviously like much more planned. I wasn't really like doing soul searching during that time. I was just like trying to survive and I knew I was coming back and I kind of just like came back and got right back into it. Whereas my sabbatical was like a lot more soul searching, a lot more healing, a lot more figuring out like what do I want this business to be? And so the sabbatical was actually also really interesting to see. Seeing, like, what worked and what didn't, and then figuring out, like, ooh, I need to really, like, what I saw from my sabbatical, especially because it was unplanned, and I kind of just was like, well, I'm going on break, and I didn't pre-batch anything. When I left, I really was like, I might make zero dollars, and then when I, like, on our first month, we had over 10k a month, and I was like, whoa, wait, how did I do that? Like, almost had to reverse engineer for myself, like, wait, I actually wasn't really expecting that, and then it continued, and we ended up making over 10k every single month that I was off, so then when I came back, I really was able to be like, okay, what do I want to, how do I want to work now, and I started off really slow, and I just saw certain things. Like, one of the things that really helped was that right before my sabbatical, I got a thousand new leads from a bundle that I was in, and so when I came back, I was like, holy crap, that was so easy, I'm going to do more bundles and summits, and so then I went like all the way in on bundles and summits as lead gen for the first like, well, really, I mean, I still do a lot of bundles and summits, but for the first six to nine months, I was like going hard on that strategy, and we added like 8,000 leads to our list from, from doing that, so that was, that all happened, like, because I saw what was working during a sabbatical. Okay, off that tangent. Okay, we just saw the too valuable to give away problem, blah, blah, blah. Here's the architecture I built. Set your scenario, which is the branch, two quick inputs, the leave type, planned with a date, forced, need it now, dreaming, no date yet, okay. I kind of like having the, like, dreaming, no date yet, because that speaks to kind And what Tara was saying in the chat, which is like, this is really just how to build a business that runs without you. Okay, I like that. Step two is the audit. Two fast questions per pillar. Do you have traffic that runs without you? Do you have offers that sell without you? Email automation set up, a revenue mix, systems and delegation support, money runway, profit buffer, mindset and permission. Okay, some of that I feel like I might, like I almost feel like systems and delegation and support need to be separate things, but it's hard to know just in seeing the outline if that's going to be right. So we'll keep going with that, but I'm just flagging that as like something I might look at. Passive income audit baked into the revenue pillar. They ballpark their streams. It spits out the gut punch line. If you disappeared for 90 days, about 23% of your income would keep coming. Passing. Okay. So one thing I want to say here is, okay, this is looking really good. One thing I do want to note is that there's also a difference in passive selling and active selling, meaning like selling that requires you to show up live versus selling that you can automate with email sequences and those sorts of automations. But then there's also active versus passive delivery. So selling a digital course, a custom GPT, a template, you know, those types of scalable digital products that require nothing of you is different from selling even recurring revenue. Like me selling the room while I'm on sabbatical is different because I still have to show up and host the room calls. So that is more active. And that's also different from having like clients that have unlimited boxer access to me or something. So I feel like there's. There's different tiers and levels that we'll want to check, both in terms of the selling and the delivery piece, and we probably need to ask them a question of like, are you going to be 100% off zero hours worked during this time? Or are you going to be willing to show up for a certain number of hours each week? And something else that was really interesting from my sabbatical was that I always said it was sort of like a sort of sabbatical. Because I did show up for my existing clients. So the five hours a month that I worked was me showing up to the client calls that I already had. But I did zero marketing during my sabbatical. And so I didn't try to sell anything new. I didn't run ads. I didn't set up anything. Not set up, but I didn't send emails like live broadcast emails while I was off. It was just zero marketing. And that was more the sabbatical. So maybe that's also something we should differentiate in the audit at some point. Okay. So I don't know why this isn't showing. Let me move this zoom out the way. It's like not letting me type. Here we go. There we go. Okay. So that was my whisper flow that I was just talking to. And then let's see. The personalized out-of-office plan, a readiness tier, then a prioritized sequence action list built from their gaps in timeline. Every action is what and why, plus learn the how. Yes, that's exactly what I want. Traffic gap goes to SEO, sell without you funnels, evergreen ecosystem, email automation, email list love systems, scale with AI, visibility, social free visibility. Okay. So I'm going to say, yes, the personalized plan also looks right. That's good, but just note that social-free visibility, none of that is very passive, they would have to actually be actively participating in bundles and summits or guest podcasting and things like that while they're on their out-of-office time. So I wonder if we should actually talk about having paid ads set up as an option, and that's something that we teach in Tripwire Toolkit. We have a lesson on a profitable ads funnel. That would automate their lead gen while they're out of office, especially if they could get the ads set up and ensure that they're working a few weeks before they go out so that they're just kind of monitoring their ads maybe for 10 minutes a week to make sure that they're still profitable. Okay? And then another... ... Another note as we're building out the plan is that I want to always recommend the individual course and then also say or get it free inside Mindful Business Academy and with a little blurb that says that Mindful Business Academy is all of our digital courses that we offer all in one place for a fraction of the price so it's a better deal if they want to implement multiple steps from this plan. To get MBA. Okay. Email capture. . Email capture is... . I kind of want email capture to be the first step. I don't really want to get this far into it before we ask them for their email, but I guess if it's a quiz, that is fairly normal. our assume. the DMO and Saft. We'll Right, to have you answer the questions first, and then before you get the results, is when you put in your email. I guess that's true. So maybe that's fine. Two things I want to be straight with you. Honestly, if the plan is just a list of gaps with seven by this buttons, it'll read as bait. True. The sequencing, timeline, math, passive income number have to deliver real aha. Yes. 26:30 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Hey, I like what Deborah said in the chat. Like, I think maybe the lead magnet opt-in page is... . Like, then they get the quiz directly after they opt-in to the opt-in page, because I don't want to lose people. 26:48 Kate Kordsmeier: I agree. Okay, I think the opt-in page for this is where we collect the email address. Let's do it that way. And then after they opt in, they're taken to the page to start the quiz and audit and get their results. Okay, then I'm just going to say use, I have a skill called Offer Suite that has a list of all of my offers with the correct URLs and prices and all of that. So I'm just going to say use that. Oh I'd already said I was going to do that. Okay, let's build the prototype. All right, so this is going now. I saw some things coming in the chat, too, that I missed, so let me just see. Kaylee says, just for additional market info, my desire for automated systems came from a botched surgery that left me unable to work for a month. I'm so sorry, that's terrible. I remember that. As a solo, all of my income just stopped unplanned. It was terrifying and a great reminder of how we have to build systems because we can't always depend on ourselves to show up. Exactly. I mean, I was interested before, but this was the red flashing lights to get the systems built. That's really good. And I feel like I'm going to use something like that on my sales page to talk about whether you are pregnant and planning for a maternity leave because you know you want to take time off, or you just want to make sure that you have future-proofed your business so that anything could happen. You could have to have a, you know, you could have a health crisis, you could have a death in the family, you could have any number of things that life throws at us, and you could know that you would be ready to just, you would be ready to, like, you could do those things and not have all of your revenue disappear. And, you know, what's been so interesting for me, too, is that every time I've taken time off, I've ended up making more money than I was making right before I took the time off. So, it's, it always, it's like, some- It's sort of universal law, I feel like, that just, I don't know how it happens. I don't know how to explain it. It must be some kind of, like, energetic thing of, like, release and surrender and letting go that manifests, like, what you were trying so hard for the whole time. . So maybe I'll put something in there about it also. . Always get more clients when I go on vacation. Same. I remember before I had kids, I used to go up to Cape Cod every summer and spend a couple weeks with my grandparents because they have a house there, and every time I was there, my grandpa was always like, you should just stay here all the time because I was always getting, like, new clients and high-ticket things selling, and they were always like, I can't believe you're, like, making so much money while you're here, and you've just been, like, at the beach and eating lobster rolls all day. I'm like, I know, I don't know what it is about being in your happy place and, like, living your life. Oh, my gosh, Abby. my I am so jealous. I didn't get to go to the Cape this year for, like, the first time in a long time, and I'm so, so jealous. Your parents live there. Where do they live? My family's in Chatham. 30:11 Abbe Feder: I love Chatham. Mine are in Yarmouthport. 30:15 Kate Kordsmeier: Oh, amazing. I love Yarmouth, too. 30:17 Abbe Feder: It's all beautiful. My kids get to sit, like, get to go to camp on the pond, like, with the boat. 30:23 Kate Kordsmeier: It's amazing. It's the best. It is, I mean, we kind of say, like, my, my grandparents have had this house since, like, the 50s. And we're like, Cape Cod today is not what Cape Cod was always like. Even when I was going in the 80s and 90s and stuff, it was like, it was, it's so much fancier than it, than it used to be. 30:43 Abbe Feder: And it's kind of sad. 30:44 Kate Kordsmeier: I'm like, I miss the, like, casual days where you could actually afford to, like, park downtown and, you know, that kind of thing. . . That's awesome, Abby. I'm so jealous. Okay, great. So, this is building the prototype. So while this is working, I think I'm trying to decide that there's some other things that we're going to have to do for this, right? Like one is we're going to have to set up a landing page. And two is that we're going to set up the ads. And so maybe what I'll do first while that's working is I'm going to open up my Kartra. And I think I will, I need to create a form. Oh, you know what? I actually like not starting from scratch. I'm going to clone a form for something else. Here's a clone. Sorry, all my things are in the way. I don't know if you guys can see that on my screen. So this is going to be the... I love building pages now in Claude with htmlpub. I don't know if anybody here has tried that, but I'll drop a link here for htmlpub. You can get, I can't remember what my discount is on it, actually. It's like maybe 40 or 50% off. Let's see, 50% off. 50% off your first payment on any plan, which includes the annual plan, which is a really, really good deal. So you'd get 50% off your entire first year. 32:43 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Actually, I forgot to tell you this, Kate. I totally used your code and built, like, I run a coffee shop for a little community thing that I'm in, and I totally built an htmlpub page for my coffee shop volunteers, and I used your code to get 50% off the annual plan. down the to was amazing. It's like $5 a month. 33:01 Kate Kordsmeier: Oh my gosh. I love it. Thank you for using my code. I'm just going to change this text here to say, what do we want it to say? I like giving it something like, yes, I want my biz to run without me, something like that. Or, what should we have the button say? Yes, I want to make sales while I'm off. Yes, I want, yes, I want money and time off. I don't know. I like the second one you said, yes, to make sales while I'm off. Okay. All right. Get out of here. Let's see. Save and exit. Okay. So then I just have to go in here and do the settings. So we always have single opt-in. I think the Tripwire Toolkit is actually a perfect lead magnet for this, but I did build a new page for the Tripwire Toolkit in HTMLPUB because it wasn't converting that well. So I'm just going to copy this URL here and make it a, it's an external success page. And then we just need to do the welcome email setup, which I have also been doing in HTML. So the thing that is tricky with this, okay, good. This is ready. It's like, I want to build all these other things, but I feel like it will give me better output if I build it after we've created the tool, but I know we're coming up. We have like 10 minutes left on this. So got to start moving fast here. Okay, let's see. 35:01 Rachel Silves - Team KK: We only have like four minutes left on the lead magnet build. 35:05 Kate Kordsmeier: that's not great. Okay. Oh, I'm at the top again. Here we go. So this is saying great refinements, got the links, load your offer suite, building a prototype, hex colors are clean, math and tier behaviors, create, open it, click the whole flow. Oh, this is interesting. So, okay. So you have the flow as like basically you built the opt-in into the tool. Let's scrap that part. I'm going to build a separate opt-in page for this. And then I'm going to send them to this tool, which I will host on HTML pub. So we don't need to have the opt-in as the first step. bit more. And if you We'll live on the landing page for the lead magnet instead. I love that it got this, a health crisis you didn't schedule. We didn't even say that, but it added that in there, which was perfect, because we were just talking about that. The robots are listening. Okay, so it doesn't really matter here, but we're going to just do test at test.com. Okay, let's see how this works. So we've got, what kind of out of office are you planning for? Planned, forced, I need you to step back soon, ready or not. Burnout, health, a family crisis, maternity leave, a sabbatical, a long trip, or dreaming. All right, let's just say planned. How long do you want or need to be gone? We'll say one to three months. While you're out, what's your ideal? My six month sabbatical was a zero marketing leave. I still showed up five hours a month for existing one-on-one clients, the random launches and a right. And Kess set up, nothing new. Fully unplugged, zero marketing, sabbatical, light maintenance. So let's say light maintenance. How much does your business actually need you? Two truths about passive, most passive income gurus. Skip the difference between selling that runs without you and selling that needs you live, and there's a difference between delivering a digital product and hosting a membership call every week. So we'll look at both. When you stop showing up, do new leads keep finding you? Okay, so new leads only come when I post pictures show up. A little organic trickle. SEO referrals bring steady leads most weeks. Okay, so I'm going to give it a couple notes here. In the second part of the audit, when we ask, when you stop showing up, do new leads keep finding you? I don't want to say SEO slash referrals bring steady leads. I just want to say that lead gen is automated and or . I have steady leads even when I'm not showing up already, and we can combine that option with the compounding SEO, GEO traffic so that there's three options. One is nothing happens when I'm not showing up, a little happens, but nothing reliable, or it's working without me already, okay? And then do you have a paid ads funnel that runs lead gen for you? No ads at all, dabbled, nothing dialed in, ads run, but I have to babysit them, profitable. Oh, let me just check these as we're going through so I can, does anything sell without you showing up live? I only make sales when I actively launch or promote, few automated, mostly I drive it, evergreen funnels, multiple automated funnels. So we'll say I only make sales. Is your audience nurtured automatically while you're silent? Automated welcome and nurture sequences keep the relationship warm. If I don't insist. insist. And nothing goes out. I think that's where most of my people are, where they have like a basic welcome email, solid automated welcome, full nurture sequences running. Okay, how much of your revenue requires you to deliver it? Okay, so one other thing I'm thinking too, in the question on the third section about your audience being nurtured automatically, I think we should also differentiate that their welcome sequence has sales content in it, meaning that they can make sales from their welcome series, because some people have a welcome series, but it doesn't sell, it only nurtures, so that maybe should be the third option, with the fourth option being that they have a solid automated welcome series that sells for them automatically. Okay, how much of your revenue requires you to deliver it? Almost all of it, coaching calls done for you, mostly me, a healthy mix of products and live, mostly scalable digital offers. I think, well, I don't know, some people are service-based here, so maybe we say, like, a healthy mix. Could customer support and ops run without you for weeks? SOPs, AI assistance, and a VA, main refund requests, and I can't log emails, don't pile up waiting for you. Everything routes to me, a few things documented, mostly in my head, decent systems someone can cover. Okay, so we'll say that. Could you financially handle a slow stretch while you're away? do you have any sort of buffer? Because I do think that's important, too. It's really stressful going into time off, being like, this better work, because otherwise I've got nothing. Could you actually let go, or would guilt drag you back? I'd be checking email from the delivery room. I'd try to rest, but probably spiral. I could mostly unplug with some wobbles. I've done the work, I can trust and rest. Okay, now we're at the passive income audit. Where does your money actually come from? Okay, so we're just going to like randomly choose some things. So they're getting some percentages here. I'm not really paying attention to what I'm doing here. Trim 163%. Okay, I want to change that. For the section where it's asking where does your money actually come from, I want it to automatically allocate percentages from 100, meaning like if somebody chooses 40% digital products, it will only allow them to choose so many more percentage points for each thing so that they don't ever exceed 100. Right now, if you're doing it, you're going to have to do a lot of mental math and dragging to get to 100 yourself, which just makes it harder. Okay, so you can see that like I'm really like testing how this works myself and trying to get to the place that, you know, this, this actually works. I'm giving it feedback. Like, yes, I'm. I'm doing, here we go, yes I'm doing, using AI to help me build it, but it's not just like I give it a prompt and then I just copy paste whatever it put out here. I'm definitely want to give it a lot of feedback. Okay, here's the truth test. 54% of your income would keep coming in if you vanish for 90 days. Roughly 46% would walk out the door with you. Here's how to shrink that number. Your readiness tier is tethered. Right now your business is a very demanding job with a flexible dress code. If you stepped away, it would feel it fast. That's not a character flaw, just a design problem, and design problems have solutions. Okay, I like that. Your personalized plan. And then so I just kind of want to scroll through this pretty quickly here, that it's giving them suggestions of automate your nurture on my sabbatical. People never felt, people never learn the how, email list love. Or get it free. Okay, so on the results page, I don't like that every single course says or get it free inside Mindful Business Academy. Maybe instead what we should do is we have the box underneath the step that says learn the how and it gives them the individual course and then at the end, after the five steps, it gives them a separate box that is a different color. That says get it free inside Mindful Business Academy and explains how that works so that it stands out a bit more. Okay, right. Kind of like how you have the shortcut box currently. Okay. I like that it added this little thing here. for the room. You could start over. You could explore MBA. This is pre-leave, growing the audience. Build your runway. Make at least one offer. Okay. So what I would do, ideally, if I had more time, is I would test this again, giving different answers so I could see different results and see how the personalized plan varies. But for time's sake, I won't do that now. but I'm going to say now, rebuild with these edits and also make sure that you include my, full color palette. And then I have a, text replacement here that has my full brand colors. So I just put that here because right now it's looking like this, because I want to say also, because right now this is reading very neutral earthy. And. Success with Soul's brand is much more light, airy, feminine, whimsical, that's fine, there's my full brand colors, okay, so rebuild this with these edits, and we'll get to publishing now. Okay, so there is, server is busy, oh no, all right, am I missing anything in the chat? Some parts are hard to read to me, not much contrast between text and background. Okay, thank you, Tisha, that's helpful. I agree that, do you mean like these parts here, or the footer, like here, where it has like gray on the top of this neutral? Okay, so that's building that. Let's come back over to Kartra. Okay, so we have this. So while this is working, I want to, I think what I'm going to do is copy everything here, and then I'm going to start a new chat that says, I need to build out the welcome confirmation email for my new out-of-office lead magnet, and I'm going to say html, this is not showing up, Kertra, that's the portal builder, I think I actually got rid of the Kertra skill, because we've been using beehive, but sometimes I do still need it, so let me go to customize, skills, I think I just turned it off, here we go, I just need to turn this back on. Hello, there we go. Okay, now I will come back and I'm going to say I use the Cartra email template. I've just copy-pasted. So I'm just going to say below I've copy-pasted the conversation I've been having in a different chat so that you can see what this out-of-office lead magnet is all about. Okay, so then I'm going to copy this and then I'm going to do a new task again and I'm going to say I need to build out the landing page for my new out-of-office lead magnet that collects their email address. And basically I want to make sure we use the conversion. And copywriting skills and opt-in page skills, so that we are able to design a really high converting page for this guide. Actually, it's not a guide. It's really a very interactive tool with an audit and a personalized plan for their own out-of-office. I'm pasting below the conversation that I had so you know what the out-of-office lead magnet is all about. Okay, so then I'm going to paste that again, and then I do need to delete this. Okay, and then I'm going to say make sure you use my HTML brand skill to build the page. So sometimes what I'll do is I'll like just call in the skills that I want to make sure it uses. I think I have this skill. I also have a conversion. Okay. Optimizer. I've actually really been liking this Alex Hermosi skill, which I'm not usually a fan of, but he has a good marketing framework skill that I bought from somebody, and I also have a, I think I have an opt-in page skill. Let's, opt-in page writer. Okay, so I'm just kind of calling in those skills, make sure, and so actually what I'm going to say is like my brand voice to write the copy. Okay, so then that'll get going. Let me check the chat. Yes, most of these skills are included inside MBA, Tisha. and we teach you how to make your own as well, and we're always adding new ones, so that's been fun. Okay, I know we are at the part where I'm supposed to switch over to ads now, so let me just check on where things are going, where things are. Right now it's rebuilding. I'm the lead magnet itself. This one is asking some questions, so this is good. Which platform actually sends this email? Kartra. Do you want me to write the email copy from scratch, too? Write it from scratch. Okay. So that's working on the welcome email. Look at this. Building a slide deck. Give Claude your source material. I did use Claude Design to do slides for a summit that I spoke at recently, and it did a really good job. Okay. And then this is the landing page. It's loading all these different skills, reading my AI copy to a void file, which is very important. Oh, yes. I often, when I'm using Claude, I'm often doing like 10 things at once in Claude and like going back and forth, which is maybe not great for like focus, but I feel like I can get much more done in less time because, as you all know, Claude the Thanks for a while before I get everything, so do you know if it produces the code as a single HTML file? Yes, it does, as a single HTML file, yes, exactly, and then depending on your, like if you have GoHighLevel, you can just copy-paste that directly into your GoHighLevel page, Kartra and ShowIt, my two services don't have a good option for that, so I use HTMLPUB, but I really love HTMLPUB because I can make changes directly within, Claude, and I can do things like, you know, check all of my pages to see which ones are missing my Facebook pixel, and then be like, apply it to all of them, so the MCP for HTMLPUB is amazing, and I really, I think it saves me time rather than manually copy-pasting things and allows me to make edits easier, so I really like it. Where should the email form actually submit? Kartra form embed. Who's the main traffic source landing on this one? Page, it's gonna be both warm and cold. It's asking me that because we have this Facebook disclaimer at the bottom that we put on pages we send cold traffic to, so I think that's why it's asking me. What do I use as the hero proof point? Do you have no testimonials? I do have testimonials for this. I've been using Senja also, and Senja has an MCP, so I can actually say, go to my Senja and find testimonials that would be good for this, like anybody who's talked about taking time off and still making money, and then it will be able to find those for me and add them to the page, so that's been really cool too. Okay, so that's building. I do have the max plan. You can see here, I'm on max, and I actually upgraded to the $200 a month plan recently. I don't know that I always... You need it. So see, here's Claude wants to use, get testimonials from Senja. Yes, please, go find them. So that's been really cool. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It basically, that means nothing to me. It basically means that you can connect Claude with your other tools and it can pull and do things from those tools. So like it's pulling the testimonials from Senja, it's building the HTML page, etc. So here, this is asking, it wants to create the page in HTML Pub. Yep. Thank you. That would be great. So it's doing that. And now this page is almost done. So, I mean, we'll see what the page looks like. Obviously, I usually have to go in and make edits and stuff. the Senja Claude connection is awesome. Go High Level is really great. I mean, Rachel has used it much more. She worked for an entrepreneur who used it, but she said it is much more complicated. I'm sure, Rachel, you could speak to that better than I could. I don't know if you're in a place to do that, though. . 54:14 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I mean, I just thought it was really techy. Like, if you're a really big tech person and you love all the tech stuff, thought that, just compared to Kartra, it wasn't quite as user-friendly. And Tara, you're saying so complicated. I thought it was pretty complicated, too, as someone who's, like, pretty tech-savvy. 54:31 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay, so here's my page now. We can see it in HTMLPUB. And one of the reasons I like to actually look at this here versus in Claude is because Claude doesn't always pull my right fonts and my photos. And so, so I just find that it's better to look at it in the actual page. So you can see here, like, here's my actual font. So this is the page of the tool itself. This is not the opt-in page. right. is So it's just like what we went through before. So now let's answer with some different answers. And I'm just going to do this really quickly so that we can just test those things real quick. So let's see if this is going to do this. Oh. OK, great. So see, the sliders won't let you go over 15 or 100%. So that's exactly what I wanted. So that worked well. It's just going to adjust these things. 3% left to allocate. OK, there we go. Reveal my plan. So 73%. So now this is like loosening the leash. You've built real assets. Some of this runs without you. Put lead. And on autopilot, so now we've got these different things here, here's the shortcut, MBA, tell me about the room, okay, so this is pretty good, I still probably am going to mess around with like the branding and stuff, because I don't love it, but I think this is pretty good to go in terms of what the page looks like, and as you can see here, like this published directly to HTML pub, but it also gave me the HTML here, so I could just copy this and then paste the HTML in whatever my tool is. So let's come to the landing page here, see where we are, it did find three testimonials, all on systems funnels, et cetera, so sometimes it doesn't pull the right ones and I have to edit it or whatever, but we'll see what that does. Then here's the lead magnet email, so this is where I would copy the HTML, then I'm going to come back over to Cartra, and I'm going to go into source, and I'm just going to delete what I have. And then put this back, and now I can see what it's going to look like. So here's the email. You're in, first name. The out-of-office audit is sitting right here waiting for you. This is probably a placeholder that I'm going to have to... Why did that just... What did I just do that, like, changed how that looked, the button? Here's what's about to happen. You'll answer a handful of questions. Okay, so let's just say this is good. also, sometimes my skill does not want to pay attention to when I say I only like paragraphs to be, like, two to three lines, total. So I'm just kind of doing this. Go find your number. Okay, so let's just say this is good enough. Now I've got, the welcome confirmation email done. My automation... I am going to change this because I want to give it the tag, out of office opt-in, this is in my lead gen category, create, add, they're going to be added to my all list, not putting them in any sequences here because I have a different trigger, now I have the embed code, so what I give this is to the landing page, I'm going to say, also here's the Kartra embed code for my form, and then I'm just going to paste that there, and then I'll just add that to the queue, so now it can build that form into my actual landing page. Okay, now let's go to Ads Manager. We're to have at least 30 minutes to do ads, so hopefully that'll be good for you all. Okay. So what we're going to want to do here is create a new campaign. So we're going to hit create. I like to set mine up as sales campaigns, even though I am running them to a freebie because I have my tripwire funnel set up on the back. That being said, one of the things that I feel like I am learning is sometimes better is to first set up it as a leads campaign. To test out your creative, see which one works the best, and then basically clone the campaign as a sales campaign and with the best creative. So I think that's what I'm going to do to start here is we'll just choose leads. We'll click continue. This is going to be out of office June, 2020. I usually put the date in, just so that I can, when I, sometimes I'll like pause things or start new ones, and then I know which, how long something's been running for. Okay, so I usually like to do an ad set budget, although it doesn't really matter because I usually only have one ad set now, since I am using wide open targeting. But in the past, if you were using, like you had multiple ad sets, because you were like, doing one ad set that was targeting course creators, and one ad set that was targeting coaches, or whatever, you know, this country versus that country, then you would probably do an ad set budget, but I don't know, just out of habit, I still do it, and it gives me flexibility if I want to try any other ad sets. so, budget, no special categories, so I'm going to go to next, now we're in the ad set, my zoom thing is just always in the place that I need it not to be, because I'm sharing my whole screen, can you guys see my zoom? Like buttons, or is that not showing because it's Zoom? 1:01:05 Rachel Silves - Team KK: We can't see your, we can't see any buttons. We can only see like the screen you're trying to show us. 1:01:10 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay. Gotcha. . It's just always in the wrong way. So I always call this ad set just wide open. And then I only do single website is my conversion location. I don't like doing instant forms because you can't do a tripwire on an instant form. And tripwires totally change the game of running ads, covering your ad spend, growing a list of buyers. So instant forms, can get cheaper leads. I just find there are less quality leads. So I'm going to choose single conversion on my website. My goal is to maximize the number of conversions. My data set is my success with SoulPixel. And my conversion event is lead. read. If I was doing this as a sales campaign, obviously my conversion and event would be purchase instead. So I don't really mess around with cost per result goals or value rules, although sometimes I've tried that. But for, I think, just simplicity's sake, I'm just going to run a simple campaign to start this. I do like testing dynamic creative. So I'm to turn that on. And then I usually like to start this at like $50 a day. I know that in order for Facebook to exit the learning phase, you need 50 conversions. So if I know that my, let's say my average cost per lead is $2 and I need 50 conversions, I'm going to have to spend $100 to reach 50 conversions. And it's probably going to be a little bit more in the first few days because it's learning. So I usually like to start with, you know, 50. It's $100. You don't have to start there. You could totally start with $5 a day. It's just going to take you longer to get out of the learning phase. I just like to get out of the learning phase and get things started as soon as I can. So that's why I set it up that way. Okay, so daily budget. I might actually just start this at $100. I'm excited about this lead magnet. I feel like it's really good. And then maybe we could get out of the learning phase in a day. I'm not going to start this until Monday, the 29th, only because I don't think I'm going to be ready to get this going until then. But I like to start it at midnight Eastern. No end date. Okay, audience, this is the really fun part. The only thing I do now is I choose my countries, United States, Canada, and United Kingdom. Those are what I'm targeting right now. Wow. Just those three countries. I choose those. I do not suggest an audience. I do usually change the age to be 25. I'm not really working with teenagers to do this, right? And then I also usually change this to be 55. It's just a suggestion. So it's not like Facebook won't show it to older people. But if we're targeting people who are like maybe going to take a maternity leave, like they're not going to be 65 years old, right? We're looking at kind of a slightly younger demographic. I will do all genders. And then I don't have anything else here. So I'm just going to use this. So my only audience targeting is Canada, UK, United States, 25 to 55. That's it. My placements, I'm not going, I just have Advantage Plus turned on. And I'm just going to leave it at that. So there's no excluded placements. So it's so much easier. easier. We're set up ads now because you don't have to test all these different audiences and everything. So we're doing this as dynamic creative sometimes. And actually, if I was doing this as a sales campaign, I would have each creative be its own ad. So I would name this one like black and white image, you know, real video, like all the different kinds of creative that I'm trying. I would do individual ads for that. I do that in sales campaigns because you can't see what is performing well if you do flexible creative in a sales campaign. But in dynamic creative, it does tell you which ads are like actually performing, what the click-through rate, what the opt-in, you know, all the stats, the CPL, everything like that, you would see that in the reports. So I don't know if that made sense if y'all". I've been running ads, no segmenting Tisha, with Andromeda, which released last year, you do not need to do any segmenting anymore, Facebook's AI is so smart, it knows who to show things to, I mean, it knows way too much about us, can have our side conversation about that, but as an advertiser, it is great, and it's very easy now, because I only run one ad set, wide open, no segmenting, and it works. So well, okay, so Facebook page is KK, Instagram profile, Success with Soul, I'm gonna upload some ads, obviously we have not created these yet, single image or video, sometimes I uncheck this, sometimes I leave it, I don't know, it doesn't really matter. We're going to get into creating the creative in just a second, but we've got images, so we don't have that. have our primary text headline description. We do need our website URL, so let's see where we are with Claude. Claude, where'd you go? Here we go. Okay, so here is our beautiful opt-in page. Actually, let's take a look at it in HTML Pub. I'm just going to refresh. Oh, maybe it didn't publish it to HTML Pub yet. it asked do we want to review it first. Okay, so to review it, if you went dark for 90 days, would the money keep coming? Let's find out. The out-of-office audit scans your business in about two minutes and hands you the number, the one number most entrepreneurs never check, the percentage of your income that would survive an extended break, then builds you a prioritized plan to fix what wouldn't. first page. Okay, Get your audit and plan. This is probably the opt-in and then there's a picture of me that's not showing here. So I want to say, okay, this looks good overall, but I have a few edits and then you can publish it straight to HTML pub. One is, I'm not sure if I love the headline if you went dark for 90 days. That feels like doomsday and not like something exciting. And I want this to feel expiring. I want this to feel inspiring to people to think that they could actually take time off from their business and still make money. And this is leaning more negative than I would want it to. I also don't want to highlight individual numbers like 67K. okay, what if we combined want to the three leaves that I've had into one number? And say, whatever that number is, like if it's 200K, we could say, I've taken X number of months off from my business and earned over 200K, for example, with zero marketing or something like that. I don't know. The individual number is not feeling that exciting to me. Okay, so that's my first note there. And y'all give me edits, too, in the chat if you're like, oh, I don't like this, or whatever you're noticing. This one's for you if you want to step away without watching it all wobble, maternity leave, craving a real sabbatical, scared of what a six-month would do, just want a Tuesday off, suspect your business is secretly a job you can't leave. Let's also give them other reasons that people take sabbaticals or take time off from their business, including more fun things like a vacation or, you know, traveling abroad with your family. Living a more nomadic lifestyle. Taking a maternity leave. Yes, I want to do things like a health crisis or a death in the family or, you know, some things that obviously aren't fun but are just part of life, but I still want to balance that with this feeling like something really good rather than something that they have to brace for. Also, use different colors in the dots next to each one rather than the same every time so that it looks more compelling. Okay, and I'm just going to get this bigger here for a second. Most online businesses are a job wearing a Freedom costume. I don't like that. That sounds dumb. I don't like this line. Use the language that my clients would actually use. I'm going to attach our customer analysis so that So this is something that I do a lot, I have this file on my computer, I did this, I uploaded literally all of our intake forms and customer feedback forms and monthly check-ins and everything like that, and I created this document with Claude that is like our customer, our client analysis of like who our ideal customers are, what they say, what their struggling with, all of that, so oftentimes I give this to Claude to improve copy and write it in like the words that y'all actually use. Okay, I do like this, the income you do have is tangled up in things only you can deliver, you can, okay, make this line apply. I am more to service providers, too, okay, so you keep working through the maternity leave, the flu, the funeral, the trip you swore you'd take this year because what's the alternative? Ooh, I really like that line, and the part that stings, you've never actually measured how much would survive if you stopped. You've got a knot in your stomach where the number could be. okay, here's the moment that changes things. It usually lands as one quiet specific number. If you disappeared for 90 days, about 23% of your income would keep coming out. Okay, I don't really understand that part. I don't really understand this section because, oh, well, because I didn't read it. That's a sample result. Yours might be 8%, it might be 78%. The point is you'll finally see it, and you'll see the other chunk you'd have. You to build around before you could ever safely log off. Okay. That's fine. The part other quizzes miss. Not all income survives a break the same way. A digital product sells and delivers while you sleep. A membership you host still needs you on the call. The audit sorts every dollar you earn by whether they're selling and delivering. Okay. That's kind of cool. I like this little, like, matrix here. Okay. What lands in your hands? Two minutes in, your survival score, your readiness tier, where your money really comes from, a prioritized sequence plan, a path whether you're planning for a leave or forced into one. So this is, again, going to be a picture of me. I've taken three extended leaves. The business kept paying me through all of them. Okay. So it does have my three things here. I like that. That looks good. It Here's the testimonials that polled, I've built a functioning business ecosystem, live quiz funnel connected to a tripwire course, working email sequence aligned with my messaging, and a running group program with paying clients. It's not really a testimonial. I don't know. I'll probably need to update those. Okay. Let me check the chat. I see some things coming in. Building LKT. I don't know what that means, Tara. Tara, do you create the ad images? Oh, like, no trust. Okay. Maybe I don't understand your question. What is your question about building know, like, trust? Do you create the ad creative images in Claude? Not in Claude, but I do it in ChatGPT usually, or NanoBanana. 1:14:56 Rachel Silves - Team KK: We'll do that in a second. I think Tara's question, I don't know. My video's not working. It might have been related to the length. There was a question there from Malika about the long landing page. 1:15:09 Kate Kordsmeier: . I don't think it's crazy long. I usually have this above the fold section that's supposed to tell them everything they need to know that if they only read this, they would want to opt in. And then this is for you. I think, like this is getting a little bit long now that we're in some of these sections. So I do see that, but I also, I do feel like no like trust and then we'll test it too, right? Like we'll test running it this way and then we'll see what it's converting at. And if it's converting at like 20%, then maybe one of the things I would do is shorten it and see what happens if we make it punchier. 1:15:53 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I think one thing I just want to point out about this whole watch me build is we're getting a first draft. We're trying to get a first draft. And so we can always come back and we can edit, we can edit the landing page, the lead magnet, we can edit the ad, but the point is if this never gets out the door, then we're not going to be able to test anything. So I think that's just something important to remember for everybody. When you get stuck in the creation phase, just get it out there, start testing it, and then you can come back and edit it with data later on. 1:16:20 Kate Kordsmeier: Agreed. Everything you need to opt in. Okay, so let's go back to ads now. This is going to publish. Here's my ads. The website URL. Okay, I don't have this yet, but I do know that it's going to be something like pages.successwithsoul.co slash o o o dash ads. That's what I'm going to have the URL be. So I'll just do that when I get to. and then I like to have the display link, just say the successofsoul.co no browser add-ons, call to action. I usually have is either learn more or sign up. So I'm going to do learn more. Tracking is good. Okay. So now all we need to do for the ads is actually create the ads. So I'm actually going to go to chat GPT and let me come back to Claude. I'm going to come here and I'm going to copy paste. Okay. I am creating a new lead magnet called Out of Office that helps people prepare to take extended time off from their businesses without losing revenue. And I need to create some ad graphics to, to run ads to this landing page. So here's what the lead magnet includes, and here's a first draft of the landing page so you can see what we're working with. So that's the first thing that I'm going to do, and then I'm going to paste that, and then I also will come back and paste this version. Again, I'm just trying to give it enough context that I'm going to do create an image. Messy mode, oh my god, my daughter would love that. She's obsessed with messy. 1:18:37 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Who isn't obsessed with messy, Kate? 1:18:39 Kate Kordsmeier: Well, my son, he's obsessed with Ronaldo, and they have an ongoing debate every day about who the goat really is. So it's like the longest-running joke of my kids' lives, and they are very serious about it. Okay, landing page so you see what we're working with. First… course. Suggest 10 ad creatives that would be a good fit for this campaign. And then as I'm doing this, I'm also just thinking that I don't use ChatGPT that often anymore. Let me just open this too. I know I have some custom GPTs on ads, and so I don't even know where to find stuff in here anymore. I'm like, where's all my GPTs that used to be right here? These are like my GPTs that I've created. So I do have, where is my custom GPT folder? Here it is. Okay, these are custom GPTs that I bought from other people. So here's the static. Creative GPT. Let me paste this into it. I'm going to run it in both places. Sometimes I like to do this just to see. This is from the Successful Ads Club. I'll drop the link to it if anybody is interested. Okay, and then SuccessfulSoul.co slash Laurel, I think, is my other ads membership that I'm in, and I'm going to show you. Oh, that's so funny. Who is messy? Come on, Meredith. You mentioned you can make edits in HTML Pub. Yes, you can do edits directly in Claude. You could say, like, change the font on this or swap out this testimonial. Like, could change anything. Or even in HTML Pub, when you're, so like, let's say I want to edit this page. I can come here and I can use this. I just ran out of credits yesterday, but I could ask their AI to edit the page, and it does a really good job, too. So sometimes if I don't want to use Claude credits, that's what I will do instead. All right, so let's see what ChatGBT came back with here. Core Campaign, Top Buyer Persona, Established Online Business Owner, Revenue Still Depends Heavily on Their Visibility, Planning, Maternity Leaves, Debatable, Top Pain Point, Sales Low, Much of Their Revenue Requires Personal Delivery, They Do Not Know How Much Income Would Survive, Time Off Feels Financially Risky Rather Than Restorative. Okay, so this is like nailing the problem and solution, right? I hate this line, if you went dark for 90 days. Does anybody else, like, does anybody actually like this line? Does this resonate with you, or is it just me? No, I wouldn't mind it, okay. Okay. It feels like death. I agree, Liam. I'm like, I don't like it. I don't like this if I went dark. I'm like, how about if I went to the beach for 90 days? That's what I want more like. sounds apocalyptic. I agree. Okay. Someone suggested an edit saying if you disappeared for 90 days. 1:22:17 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I don't know if you like that any better or different. It does sound slightly less dark. It still feels negative. 1:22:25 Kate Kordsmeier: Like, you want to disappear feels like, that doesn't sound like a good feeling. Like, if you want to disappear, you sound very stressed. . If you stepped away, I like that. If you stepped away for 90 days. Okay. I like that actually, Angela. you stepped away for 90 days, would the money keep coming? An elegant out-of-office email screen, laptop beside a passport, coffee, and sunglasses. Okay. I like this. So, let's, now I'm just going to copy-paste this down here. Zoom, you're killing me with all of your things. Okay. I'm I'm to choose image generation mode and then say, create this image, my brand colors are blah, blah, blah, and then I'm going to say, if you stepped away for 90 days, would the money keep coming? Why is this on here twice? All right. So that's the first one. And then let's come over to this and just see what the basic ChatGPT told us. If you disappeared, would it keep coming? A clean 90-day calendar fading out behind a large out-of-office stamp. Ooh, I like that. And then, so we'll say, create this image. There's different here, ooh, I like this, on graphic copy, I'll be out of office for the next 90 days, and then maybe it's like, my revenue won't be, something like that, I don't know why it keeps copying everything twice when I paste it, it's weird, maybe I don't need to give it my brand colors, we'll just see what it creates, so this one is still working, I'm gonna open another custom GPT that is for some of, like, my writing, the ad copy, So, we're gonna do the starting five, this is from Laurel Portier, I'm in her ads program, and I'm gonna copy paste that original prompt here. And then I'm just going to say, I need to create some ad copy to run ads to this landing page. No, I don't have other resources for custom GPTs because these are what I purchased, but Laurel's program is $7 a month. So you might, let's see if I gave it, oh my god, I hate when Zoom does this. It just took a screenshot. Why? Cancel. Oh, my computer is not happy with me. Am I frozen for y'all? 1:26:30 Rachel Silves - Team KK: You're not frozen for me. I'm not? 1:26:33 Kate Kordsmeier: No. 1:26:34 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Okay. And everyone in the chat says no, too. Is my screen frozen? no. I can see you moving your mouse. 1:26:43 Kate Kordsmeier: You don't see the little spinning wheel moving? 1:26:46 Rachel Silves - Team KK: No, it just says exploring options for creating an image in HTML on the chat GPT screen. 1:26:53 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay, I don't know. I can't do anything on my screen. It's just a black, black screen for me. And it says, I just have the spinning wheel of death going, and I can't. 1:27:05 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I click anything. I can see you moving those icons. 1:27:12 Kate Kordsmeier: Oh, I can't even see that. What screen am I sharing right now? Right now you're sharing the static creative GPT screen. I don't know how to get this to stop. It's like Zoom tried to take a screenshot and now it's like frozen for me on this screenshot of Zoom. 1:27:34 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Am I a co-host? Can I stop your screen sharing? 1:27:37 Kate Kordsmeier: yes. Stop my screen sharing. That would be great. Let's see if that works. Stop participant sharing. Okay. 1:27:44 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Okay. Let me see. 1:27:54 Kate Kordsmeier: Ooh, cool. Okay. Oops, I'm going to share everything. Okay. That was a great idea, Rachel. That definitely worked. 1:28:03 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Okay. Here's the first. 1:28:05 Kate Kordsmeier: Ad graphic that it created, I'll be out of office for the next 90 days. My revenue won't be. What do you guys think? Would this stop your scroll? 1:28:18 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Kind of like it. 1:28:22 Kate Kordsmeier: What could we do differently? I agree. It's a little busy. Okay, I really like this, but it's a little busy. I think we could lose some of the moon and botanical elements and just have it be a little more straightforward and easy to read and get the message across right away. Okay, good feedback, y'all. I love it. Let's see what the other one is still working, and it did not open. Didn't I open that? The Starting 5 ad writer? What happened to that? Actually, that's weird. Okay. Need to create some ad copy. Oops. Options to run ads. Here's what I'm working with. Okay. So this is going. Let's check on Claude. Here's the new page. Let's just say Publish to HTML Pub. So step away from your business and keep getting paid. Yes, really. That is much better to me. That feels much more exciting, inviting, like, oh my gosh, I want that. Take the trip. Take the leave. Take the whole season off. The out-of-office audit. It shows you in two minutes, what do you all think? Is that more compelling to you? Like, I want that more than I want. Go dark for 90 days? Disappear into the abyss? Yes. Okay. Tisha says yes. Angela says yes. Way more inviting. Okay, great. Love it. 260K earned across 14 months of leave without actively marketing my business. That feels like a much more, like, pop, right? That stat on the top. Then, individually, we get into some of the more, like, oh, that's cool. That's like an active scroll thing. We get into the, what am I trying to say? The individual out of offices. Oh, it changed it here, too, actually. Well, I might go back to that. But as Rachel said, this is messy first draft. Let's go. So it's publishing to HTML Pub. We, so that's all Claude was doing for us. So now we're just here. So this is writing. Okay so this is something from Laurel that I also created here which is I have this context with it's just my content bible this was an activity I did with her so I'm just gonna attach the content bible my client analysis and I don't know if there's any oh and maybe my brand iOS okay so we're gonna open those okay those are attached ultimately this is trying to sell the mindful business academy but it really could be the first step towards any of my three core offers okay so it's gonna help me write some copy I have this one other tool that I use sometimes which My Poppy AI, I don't know if anybody here has ever used Poppy, but I will put an affiliate link in the chat in case anybody wants to check it out. Poppy is one of those AI tools that you can use multiple, like, LLMs with. So I could use ChatGPT, I could use, what am I trying to say? I could use Claude, could use, you know, Nano Banana, like, all kinds of things. So one of the things that I've done here is I have this Ads GPT that I created, and it's kind of this, it looks crazy when you first look at it. It's like this mind map, but you can see here what I've done is I've added, like, YouTube videos, I've added things about how to write good copy, added stuff about Andromeda, this is from courses I've taken, and then you can connect these to your chat. And then I'll show you, so sometimes I like to do these where I'm like trying copy and image creation in different tools to see which one's going to give me the best and do I like it and all of that. So right now what I have connected this to is, okay, I don't want it connected to the beyond the scroll page so I am going to just get rid of that. I want it connected to the writing ad copy to the, okay, I don't want it connected to this, I'm going to exit out of that. I want it connected to Amanda Bond's stuff, Laurel's stuff, and Andromeda. Andromeda is connected already. Okay, so then I open this up, I'm going to go full screen here, and I'm going to say new conversation, and then... I can choose my model here, so you can see like I can choose Claude, Gemini, GPT, Grock, so I'm going to do Claude, but now the difference between me doing this in Claude and me doing it here is that this is trained on all of those different resources, and Claude I would have to use like a Claude scale or something, which I do also have, so I'm again I'm going to test things in different places. So I'm copy pasting this here, this is going to vink, and then I can also have it create some images for me based on on these, so I'll do that here as well. All right, so here's the ad copy, let's see, got the funnel logic, audit is the entry point, right, the ad sell, the audit, not MBA. Okay. So here is an example of ad copy. I used to think taking extended time off was mostly a scheduling problem, batch the emails, prep the team, color code a spreadsheet until it looks emotionally supportive. Done. Then I took three extended leaves for my business. Two were planned, one was absolutely not. During that four, six-month sabbatical, I ran zero live marketing, no launches, no broadcast emails, no quickly hopping online from the couch while pretending that counted as rest, and the business still made money. Not because I'm special, not because the passive income fairies sprinkled striped us on my laptop. It happened because I've spent years building things that That could keep doing their jobs when I couldn't. Evergreen ways for new people to find me. Automated emails that nurtured and sold. Offers that didn't require me to deliver everything live. System and relationships that were stored exclusively inside my, that weren't stored. The experience changed how I define. Okay. I really like this. I mean, it's long. So what does this say? This is, okay. Okay. This is great. I really like it. Can you draft the other four ads for me? What this GPT does is it's trained on Laurel's ad method of running five ads at once to find the best fit. And so she has this starting five methodology. The first one you can see is the connection builder. We'll see what she builds next is like the how-to. Then we have the differentiator. So these are just speaking to different places. So I guess we're really running tight on time now. And I say that we're running, we're over time. So I like this better. This feels much cleaner than the first one, right? Like this was just a little too busy. So I might keep editing that. We'll look at this one, which does not appear to be going. Let's see if I just needed to refresh. Did it actually create something? Nothing has happened. Okay. What I'm thinking is, I just wanted to kind of show you guys, this is the process that I would do. I'd run it through all these different tools I have. I'd come over here. Here's some ad caption options. This is kind of telling me, pulling from the knowledge base, this is what we would do. Writing it across four buyer awareness lenses, which is really important. These are all things that I've learned from taking different ads courses. And then I guess the last thing I'll show you here too, oh, is what I would do for a clod skill. So I do have a clod skill and I would just start a new task. And again, I would start it like this and say... I need to build out the ad copy for my new out-of-office lead magnet. Okay. And then this is going to use my Claude scale that I have. So to get that scale, Tisha, that I just showed you, I mean, one thing is you could use Poppy and you can just pull in things from courses that you've purchased or YouTube videos and things like that. I think this is the link that takes you to, Laurel's. Okay. So this link, it's $7 a month and Laurel gives you all of those GPTs that I'm using here. . Okay. So this link, it's $7 a month and Laurel gives you all of those GPTs that I'm using here. . So I highly recommend joining Laurel's ad training. I think she is one of the smartest people about ads, and I really learned a ton about Andromeda through her. So that's what I would recommend. And for seven bucks, you know, even if you're only in it for a month, you'll be very well off. So check out Laurel's training. You can also do things like one of the things I do when I'm not the expert is I'll say like I'll go to Claude and I'll say do deep research on the best practice. This is for writing like ad captions in 2026, and I'll have it do research and compile that for me, and then I'll have turn that into a skill. So it's not as foolproof because you don't know for sure that these resources are reliable and that, you know, it's it's truly like trained on proven methods, but that's a good like middle ground. you don't want to purchase something new is to try something like that. But so, so basically what I would do. One finish this out is I would come back into my ads manager and then I would add the images and or videos that I create. I would add different versions of primary text, headline, I don't ever do a description, so just primary text and headline. I usually do as many as this will allow, which I think, right now you can add five texts and then I think you can add ten creative options. So I max those out on my dynamic creative and then I would just run this and then I would let it run for like three to seven days and then I would see how it's performing, what's working, what's not. And then I would clone this campaign and do it as a sales objective instead so that I can really capture people who buy and not just people who opt into stuff. So that's really the process of setting this up. It's much simpler now, like I said, because of doing the wide open segmenting. So I really kind of showed you everything. I just haven't. I the exact ads that I want to do, but we can see this is an objection handler ad, so I'm going to play around with these. I really wanted to have this ad like up and running before this was over, but obviously we've already been on for an hour and 43 minutes, and it's just time to go. So Tisha says, my audience is Spanish-speaking, they might resonate differently than English speakers. Maybe, but you can just do that in your targeting for countries, like I would just target the countries where your clients are. So you're getting the leads at $2 and the paying people at how much. I talk about this a lot in that Tripwire Toolkit course where we have the profitable ads funnel training. Usually, like what, I mean, we could go and look actually and say, so right now I've been running, let's go back here, campaigns. Let's see, last seven days. Last I've been paying $7 a lead, and I've gotten seven purchases. This is not like my best campaign right now. I'm in the middle of trying to troubleshoot what's going on with this one. But I usually pay somewhere between $5 and $8 per lead when I do a sales campaign. But we can see here too, like, if we were to look at, say, maximum. So let's look at some where I've gotten a lot of purchases. So this one, I had 136 purchases, and I paid $6 a lead. This one, I also had 136 purchases, $4.60 a lead. Obviously, you can see I do, like, lots of tests in here. 489 purchases, $4.95 a lead. So it's definitely possible to get a very affordable cost per lead with a sales objective. You just have to make sure you have the right track. So with that, I'm going to stop sharing and we're going to end this call for today, but next month we'll be back with another Watch Me Build. We'll probably have you guys vote again to see what you want me to build live next time. We can keep doing stuff like this if you're like more stuff on building out ads. And again, sometimes it's hard. You think like, well, we built the lead magnet and then we built the ads to go with it. Maybe next time it's like just doing the ads by himself or just doing the lead magnet by itself so we could really end with like a fully finished product. But I think I'm probably an hour away from being totally done with this whole thing. I'll have to have Rachel hold me to that because I'm known to tinker. Okay, y'all, thanks so much for being here. It was great to see some new faces joining us for the 1K Day Experiment. And I hope you guys learned a lot and saw that like sometimes things don't always turn out the 1:45:05 Rachel Silves - Team KK: That you want them to in the first go round and you just got to keep messing with it and iterating and I have found like the more that I've used Claude especially it really is getting so much better at nailing my voice and everything like on the first maybe second or third try it used to sometimes take me like gosh a dozen times of going back and forth and being like no that's not it you're not getting it and now I feel like it's really it's gotten really good and you just have to know to like you can see it take like it takes good prompts it takes good copywriting knowledge or like knowing your clients well like I could have read that you know go dark for 90 days and been like sure that's fine but I just knew my clients wouldn't resonate with like such negative language like that and that wasn't that didn't feel right so you also have to know yourself and your clients to know you know what feedback to give it so okay I hope everybody has a great rest of your day we'll see you next time thanks for joining us

Recap

Meeting Purpose

Live-build a new lead magnet and its supporting ad campaign.

Key Takeaways

  • New lead magnet: the "Out of Office" interactive tool audits a business's readiness for an extended break and generates a personalized plan linking to paid courses (e.g., Tripwire Toolkit) and MBA.
  • Ad strategy: a "Leads" campaign tests creative with wide-open targeting (US, UK, CA, age 25–55) at $100/day to exit the learning phase fast, then clones the winner into a "Sales" campaign.
  • AI-powered workflow: Claude (Opus 4.8) for the tool, landing page and email; ChatGPT for ad creative; constant human feedback.
  • Key insight: the tool quantifies how much revenue would survive a 90-day absence, creating the "aha" that motivates action.

Topics

Lead Magnet Selection

  • Chosen over combining existing lead magnets because it leans on Kate's proof: $58K during a 2018 maternity leave, $135K during a 2020 maternity leave, $70K during a 6-month 2024 sabbatical.
  • Narrative arc from planned leave to unplanned crisis.

"Out of Office" Build

  • Scenario (Planned, Forced, Dreaming) → readiness scorecard across 7 pillars (Traffic, Offers, Email, Revenue, Systems, Financials, Mindset) → passive-income audit that auto-allocates percentages to 100% → personalized, prioritized plan.
  • Each action links to a course or MBA. Hosted on HTMLPub; Kartra form for email capture.

Landing Page & Email

  • Headline flipped to positive ("Step away from your business and keep getting paid"); proof combined into $260K across 14 months; audience widened to include vacation and travel.
  • Kartra form tags leads "out of office opt-in" and adds them to the main list.

Ad Campaign Setup

  • Leads objective, $100/day (about 50 conversions to exit learning), wide targeting, creative brainstormed in ChatGPT including a "Connection Builder" ad with Kate's unplanned-leave story.

Next Steps

  • Kate: finalize the tool and landing page in HTMLPub, finish ad creative, launch Leads on June 29, clone the winner into Sales after 3–7 days.
