Watch Me Build: This Is How We Claude + the $39 Birthday Sale setup

Live build session, August 27, 2026.

Transcript

00:00 Kate Kordsmeier: Let me make sure, okay, my note taker is here. We've been having issues with Fathom, so I just always have to make sure that I actually have Fathom here. Okay, great. Welcome everybody. We're doing another watch me build today. And I was just telling Rachel, I've been like needing this to happen all week because it's August 27th and my birthday sale starts September 1st and I have done literally nothing for it. So I need to get going on this and I think it'll be fun to kind of show y'all how I, we'll see how it goes for this one. I used Claude to do basically everything for my This Is How We Claude live event. And I, it was one of the first times that I felt like I gave it this huge project and that I really was like the orchestrator. Like that I- It did the things for me. It didn't just give me like the copy for me to go in and paste into things. And so, thank you, thank you for the early birthday wishes. And same to you, Britt, are you a Libra or Virgo? I'm always curious. Okay. So I, as usual, these always end up running long. So I'm just going to go ahead and get started here. I'm going to share my entire screen and I am on my laptop today because of the way that Claude, works across devices. So what I wanted to show y'all is, I actually use Claude code for this, but don't freak out because I don't do anything different in Claude code than I do in Claude regular chat or even Claude. which beinstant the only reason that I used code for this in the beginning was because, let me see if I can hide this because it is just, there we go. Okay. Sorry. I had too many zoom things on my screen. the only reason I use cloud code is because I've heard that it has a larger context window. And that when you use it with fable five, which is the newest cloud model, I don't actually know if it's the newest opus five might be newer than fable five. Cause it was like opus 4.8 and fable five and whatever fable is the most expensive one. but when I say context window, what I mean is that I could give it a lot of tasks and thoughts and things to do all at once. And then it will go out and assign all of these sub agents to do the things. So it's. I can do them simultaneously, and I can have this really long chat with it, and it won't get dumber the more I give it. So I'm just going to start this Watch Me Build by showing you guys a little bit, like, kind of a sneak preview of what I did for the This Is How We Claude event, and how I was able to use Claude to do the work for me and kind of create and run this whole promo. And then we're going to take that. I have since turned this into a skill, and then we're going to use that skill and do the same thing for my September birthday sale, which I'll tell you guys, obviously, what it's going to be. So you're getting a sneak peek of what the birthday sale is, and, like, Rachel and I, Rachel is asking, like, you know, how close of attention do I need her to pay to what I'm sharing today? And I was like, well, maybe in the beginning, pretty close because we're going to be making a lot of decisions about, like, like, should we set it up? This way, what should the price be? Are we sure we want this bonus? And blah, blah, blah. So you guys will get to be a part of that conversation as well. So what y'all can see first here is that I have started this chat in Claude Code. And I just said, I've got a big project. I'm trying to finish everything for today. And I'm hosting this event. You can see everything we need to do in the ClickUp project here. And so I don't even know that I actually linked to the ClickUp project. It doesn't look like I forgot to do that. And I want to use you as much as possible to complete this for me. I will create the promo graphics in ChatGPT. Claude is not great for images. So I still do images in ChatGPT. So what I did is I gave it, I actually had a marketing assistant who was helping me write before. Before this event happened and then we stopped working together and so she kind of left me with like these are the things that where I left off and so I'm giving these to Claude. So what she did is she had created just a very quick template for me of what the PDF guide could look like. She just had four pages that was kind of designed in Canva. So I gave Claude the link to that. I said should we build it out over in Canva? Would it be better to just build the PDF right here as a branded doc, which I assumed was probably going to be the case? I had the Airtable base, which I'll show you all here. This is the Airtable base of our contributors. So I had already gone through this process of, I actually did this as invite only. I didn't open up applications for speakers at this event. So I just invited people and then had them fill out the form. So then they filled out the form and we had all of their information here. So I'll All of their photos, their freebies, and the URLs for everything. And then their interview questions were done as an Airtable form. So everything that needed to go in the PDF guide was in Airtable. So that was where I housed all of the information. I said, we have 16 contributors, plus I'll be contributing myself. So I need to write my answers to the interview questions. Tara had, again, left me with a couple of things that she created for me, which was some sample opt-in page copy, some promo email swipes, and some affiliate swipes. And then she had also just put together this key details doc for me that just had the links to some of the different things, basically what I just showed you. But that was really all that had been done up front. So everything else that had to get done, I was on my own to do. So, Claude, so Nikki says, I've never used Airtable. Did Claude create this Airtable for So Tara created the Airtable for me, but Claude could easily do that. Airtable has an MCP with Claude, and for my next event, I'm not going to have Tara there to help me create the thing, so I'm going to give it to Claude and say, I need you to create the Airtable form. So it creates the base, and then it created the form questions, and it can even create automations in Airtable for you now. The Airtable MCP is chef's kiss. I love Airtable. so does Rachel. Okay, so this is what I'm saying. I'm just giving Claude what I have so far. In some cases, like today, I'm not going to have anything to give it except here's the idea, and here's like the things off the top of my head that we're going to need to do. But this is what I had to start, and I said I changed the date, so all the July dates need to be changed to August. I want to build out the emails in Beehive, not Kartra. Let's create... And so I did have a ClickUp project that had a couple of things from Tara in it that were like, you know, you have to create the PDF guide. You need to create the opt-in page. You need to create the sales pages for the tripwire and the upsells and stuff. You need to create the product in Kartra. So I had a little bit of a list of like the things that would need to happen. And so Cloud Code is like, big day, let's do this. And so basically it comes back and it asks me some questions. It's kind of confirming some of these details here with me. And then it's saying like, here's the plans. And it just starts doing a bunch of stuff. It like got all the headshots from the air table. So it's just, I don't even know. It's just doing a bunch of things. And then at the end, it's like, great. Huge day. Here's where we stand. mean, this took maybe like 10, 20 minutes. I don't know. I like turned it on and went and did something else and came back and it's like, okay, this is all done. So the first thing that it created is this PDF draft. I think it's not going to show here because I've since moved it. two, excuse me. so it, but it created a draft of the PDF. It created all the pages for me, live on HTML pub, which is my, like, probably number one favorite tool of the year is HTML pub. I will put a link in the chat where you can get 50% off, using my link on your first payment. Oh, thanks. Rachel beat me to it. so all of the pages are live, in HTML pub. I just need, so it's created the opt-in, the triple. The Timed Out, The Buyer Hub. It created Beehive emails for me. And then it's like, it created this punch list. And this punch list, okay, it's not going to show this either. I have a version that I can show you. This punch list was basically everything that was done, everything that still needed to get done. It asked me a few questions. And so I literally just said, like, we're going to get I'm keep the form in Kartra, but move the email sequence to Beehive. Here's my brand colors because the PDF guide wasn't quite done in those colors. I had like some edits that I wanted to give it for what the guide looked like. And then again, like it just keeps going. It's built a 69 page doc at this point. It is giving me a round two of the guide with my interview. I've answers in there now, which it wrote for me, and then again, I'm just like editing things, making sure that they're actually accurate, so anyway, long story short, it just keeps going like this, and all I'm doing is saying, yes, no, do this, change that, and you can see here, like I am giving it embed codes from Kartra, I want the HTML pub pages to make sure that they're using our skill, and I want to audit them to make sure that they're right. I chose the date for the live round table, so things that it's like, I just need to make decisions, and then it's implementing those decisions into everything for me. So, I don't want to spend too much time here on the CLAWD guide, because I really want to get into building one live with you so you can see it in action, but I'm just going to scroll down to the end here, you can see again, like, I don't like the backgrounds. Like, so this was the original. The cover that it created. So again, just pure delegating preference decisions, all of that. You can see we're now on version four of the PDF guide. Okay, then there's version five. I'm like, this has been so amazing. I wanna make these changes and give me like, what's the remaining list of things that I need to do? So what I want y'all to see is that, every single page for this offer, which includes the opt-in page to get the free guide, the tripwire page to add the VIP pass upsell, the regular price page for the VIP pass upsell, the upsell page for the Scale Smart upsell on the tripwire, the hub page for people to access all of the information about the VIP pass and get their skills. Every single email promotion that I sent out about this, all I did was tell Claude, I need to send five emails between August 1st and August 31st promoting the guide. Set it up. And so it puts the emails in HTML. It sets them up in Beehive with the MCP. It adds all of the links. It found things that it's like, oh, you might have forgotten about this. Things that a human brain just can't hold all of the details for. I did not touch any of it except to tell it what to do and then make any edits at the end. And so I just kept going with this. It created the entire PDF thing. It created all of the automations in Airtable. And I'd be like, okay, I want to send five emails to my speakers or the contributors of this guide over the month reminding them to promote. It would create those. This automations in Airtable for me. It would tell me sometimes where it's like, there's a couple clicks that you need to make. So like, just do those clicks here. Anyway, we keep going, going, going. And I just want to like scroll down to the bottom here so you can see even a few things that I thought of this week. I was like, oh, I want to collect feedback from our attendees. And we've still got a few emails scheduled in Beehive that haven't gone out yet. Can you embed two of these block builder forms to get their feedback into the emails for me? And then it just goes in and makes the changes in Beehive. So again, like, it's pure puppet master. I I just didn't have to actually go and do any of it myself. so I want to show you at the end. Oh, then I could come and ask things as I was going through it. I want to make sure our contributors have promoted. Can you check the Airtable? Airtable? Airtable? Can you you the And then it would tell me, here's who's submitted their form of proof, you know, here's who you need to follow up with, all of that kind of stuff. Then I have, I just, this is like yesterday, I just realized that people who opted into the guide only have until September 30th to download the freebies. And I don't have any emails scheduled to remind them of their last day. So schedule those emails. So again, it just went in, created all of those emails for me, and then I can just come in and like click this. And when I click it, it's going to take me right over to the email that it made for me. So I want to show you here, my computer is going slow, probably sharing Zoom. This is the email that it built for me. I did nothing but tell it, I need an email that says this. And so here it is. And I told it, like, I need to make sure our four sponsors are highlighted. Specifically, here's that embed block that I wanted. to get feedback from people, so it put that in there, and so all of it is just, like, done, and I've continued using the same exact chat for the entire project, and it has not gotten dumber, which, like I said, it usually does. It also, like, it created ClickUp tasks for me when it's, like, there's certain things about your promo that you can't do until it's, like, time to do that thing, right? Like, can't change the price to $497 on the All Access Pass until September 1st. So it will either create a ClickUp task for me to do that manually if it's something I have to do, or if it's not something I have to do, it will create a scheduled task in Claude for me that will fire on September 1st at midnight, you know, 01. It's going to go into the HTML page and change all of the pricing everywhere to say $497 instead of $67. So what I wanted to show you... you... What I wanted to show you is the punch list, and I think it would show you my very last punch list, it's just not showing you the previous versions. No, okay, that's the PDF file. Oh, and then when I would be like, we'd have a sponsor, we'd have a contributor say, shoot, I gave you the wrong link for my freebie or something. I would just come to Claude and say, I need to update this link everywhere. And then it would go and find all the places that we ever posted that link and like, fix it for me. Oh, needed to create pretty links for everything. Every single contributor spot, I wanted to be a pretty link, not just their regular URL. And so it literally used the Chrome extension to just go into my WordPress and create pretty links in this like. It formatted naming convention and so just things that like would normally take me so long to do and it was just it was amazing so any other questions about this? 18:17 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I'm really bummed that it's not like showing any of these files here anymore I don't know why I have one question for you Kate about how long would you say this whole like conversation? I mean I know some of it was over like several days and stuff but like the original and initial build how long do you think that that took you? 18:38 Kate Kordsmeier: So I spent like one full workday which for me is probably like five or six hours doing stuff in here but again I wasn't like only doing this whole time right like Claude would go and it would do stuff for 20 minutes and then and like I said like you can see it's doing lots of different things at a time it's like building the emails as it's building the pages. you. As it's creating the pretty links, so it's not like you're having to sit there and every time be like, now do this, now do that. I could give it 12 tasks to do at one time, so I probably spent 10 hours of orchestrating it all in a row, like I did kind of two full workdays for me of doing it, and then everything else was just like random as I thought of it, oh shoot, we need two more emails for this thing, so five minutes here and there. So I think like 10 to 15 hours total, but if I even tried to calculate like, but what was the amount of time that I spent working on this? It's probably more like five hours or less because a lot of it was waiting around time and I would go do other stuff. Like one night I was just watching, it was like Friday night and I was just watching a movie with my husband and I just had the laptop next to me and I'd be like, go create the pretty links. And then I'd- Like, keep watching the movie, and then 20 minutes later, I'd be like, okay, that's done, now go, you know, do this thing. So I was really, it's hard to say, like, the exact time estimate. Okay, I did have a punch list that it created for me. Let me see if I can find that real quick, because I do want to show you guys just sort of what that looked like. and then, I feel like I've moved things, because I'm now doing this, like, obsidian thing, which is a whole other, you know, I don't know where I put that. That's probably why it can't show us anything, because it's like, where did you move this? okay, whatever. I don't know where it is. But at the end of this, until this week, the last thing I had it do is create, turn this into a Claude skill. So, So, I basically, I'm just trying to find the prompt where I say this, scheduled all of my school posts about this. I mean, so many things. I need you to go back through everything we went through in this entire project and big long chat and turn it into a skill I can reuse for my next collab guide just like this. It will be a different topic, but the same process overall. So then it created this skill for me and then I'm not sure if this is the skill that we're going to use for, what I'm going to show you all today doing it live because I'm not doing a collab guide launch for my birthday, but I'm going to do another. This is how we clod type event this fall. And you better believe I'm just going to use this skill now. And a lot of the things, if there was back and forth, there won't be as much back and forth, like getting the brand colors, right. The first time. And, you know, all of that kind of stuff. So it created the skill. So I took a look at it, and then, that was pretty much it. So let's get started on a new one. Let me, I don't know why, the floating meeting panel controls keep coming up. So I'm going to do this again in Cloud Code. You can see I'm in Cloud Code here. I'm actually going to choose a folder because I do have a vault system now where I have a lot of my, like, business information and that context and background on a lot of things that I'm doing so that I can go back and forth between Cloud and ChatGPT or any other future AI tool. And that my actual Cloud Code will be better trained than it even could be with just, like, regular Cloud memory. So I've connected my. So Vault folder, which has everything. I definitely want to be in Fable 5. And what I'm going to start with, and I'm going to use my Whisper Flow to dictate here, I'm going to say, I am ready to run my, oh, that's weird. It said it wasn't hearing anything. So I stopped doing that. Okay, I am doing a big project with you today. I need you to do as much of the tasks for me as you possibly can. I don't want to do anything manually that I don't absolutely have to do. So I'm planning out my birthday sale for the month of September, and I'm going to give you the details of the sale first. The first thing I want you to do is create a rough plan for what we need to do to make this sale happen. And ask me, what is going on with my tech? Just like that's okay. Hold on. Come back, whisper flow. Where'd you go? Oh, my God. That didn't record anything. What is happening, guys? 24:10 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I don't know if your internet might be having. Is she like a little wonky for you all? Okay. I see some people nodding. I don't know if your connection maybe. 24:22 Kate Kordsmeier: Dang it. 24:23 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I mean, it seems fine now at the moment. 24:27 Kate Kordsmeier: She's lagging. Okay. Ugh. That's annoying. Okay. Let's try this again. One more time. Let's see. This was a very long chat. Trying to get to the top. Okay. I'm going to just copy this so that I can start that here. Okay. This is for my 39th birthday. Sale, which is running the entire month of September. My actual birthday is 928. Okay. you can, so I'm not going to say you can see that I, cause I don't have a ClickUp project for it yet. I'm going to say, I want you to complete as much as possible. I will create promo graphics in chat GPT. And then I want to show you guys a couple things that I have kind of prepped for this. Yes. So let me close out a couple of these windows. Is the internet better now? 25:38 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I think it, you seem to be doing better. 25:41 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay. Like it's less laggy on my end. Okay. So one thing Rachel and I had a call where we mapped out what our promos were going to be for the rest of the year. And I gave that chat to like the transcript to Claude and I had it. Kind of create a little promo thing for me here and so this is sort of the details of it and I'm going to just copy paste this in but to give you guys the background what we're doing is and actually I have another chat. Let me put this here. I do feel like my internet is slow because like where is this? Sometimes I feel like when you're sharing your screen on zoom it just like takes too much power. Great. Unresponsive. Perfect. Okay, let's go. I'm just going to go over to it's going to be in this chat here. So, okay, so this is what I asked it to do. was like summarize the most important details of this chat. So, oh let me turn off my video. That's a great idea. That video. Okay. Tell me if that improves things. Thank you for that suggestion. So I'm turning 39. Sad. My last year in my 30s. And so what I'm going to do is I'm going to drop one Claude skill every single day for the month of September. Each one is going to be available for 24 hours and then it's gone. And each skill is going to cost $39. So it's a little cheeky 39 for 39. The way that I wanted to do this is that I don't sell skills a la carte today. The only skill I sell a la carte is coffee with Claude. So this is the only way for people to get these skills like one off unless they join MBA. So every sales page and email is going to be get this skill for $39 or get the entire library of all 30 skills inside. So it's going to kind of serve as both a cash injection of people just buying one off Claude skills and sort of a backdoor, not backdoor, but like an indirect promo for MBA. And obviously, we're going to be talking about how MBA has all of these skills, plus all new future skills I always add to MBA. And, you know, obviously, if 39 times 30 is only $1,170, so it's less than the value of MBA, but they're obviously getting so many other things inside MBA outside of just the skills themselves. So we'll have to make sure that we talk about that. This is the messaging problem that we kind of flagged. And I'm sort of copying this off of my friend, Monica Froese. She ran a skill sale. I want to say it was in July, but I don't know, sometime this summer. What is time? And she did hers where there was just an all that like. I think is Like buy each skill individually or get the all access pass of all of the skills but the obviously the pass was cheaper than the price of buying all of the skills individually but her pass only included the skills it wasn't like a bigger program so I'm just gonna have to kind of like watch that the pitch can't be like a bundle discount necessarily it has to be you'd spend twelve hundred dollars on skills alone for about thirteen hundred more you get every course future skill drops and all of the coaching which includes group and one-on-one coaching every single month I don't want to discount MBA because we just raise the price and I feel like discounting it especially so soon after would be like kind of a just kidding the price isn't really this high and so so what I'm gonna do is copy this chat let me come back over to my yes I already told you you could trust that I will okay So here are the details for the sale, and I'm just going to paste that here. I don't need this part. Okay, then I have this shortcut that I always do with things like this where I say before you begin ask me every question you need answered to do this well. All right, so this is getting us going here. I do have auto mode set up now, which I honestly think will save me so much more time than doing the Claude event did, because one of the things I had to keep doing is like hitting approve, approve, approve, permissions. So now I'm like, just go do it. I trust you enough at this point. And so what I figure is there's going to be some waiting. Time during this because Claude's going to go off and do its thing. So while we're waiting, what questions do y'all have about why did I decide to do this sale? Like what, I don't know, anything that's coming up for you? What would you like to see? Anything that makes you think, how could I do this in my own business? Like, let's chat and answer some questions. And is my internet better now that I turned off my video? 31:29 Rachel Silves - Team KK: yes, your internet seems way better now that you turned off your video. 31:32 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay, great. Y'all need to tell me next time. I had no idea that it was lagging other than being kind of slow up here. It wasn't that bad. 31:42 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I think it was kind of, I didn't, we didn't, I didn't really know what was going on until. 31:49 Kate Kordsmeier: I've never had whisper flow backfire on me like that, so. There's question from Callie in the chat. . . So I'm happy to share a little bit about this, but it's a very, A, it's very unrelated to this and it's very new for me, but I bought Julie Chanel's AI and Sheep program, which basically just teaches you how to create like a second brain backup. And so my vault file, what y'all, I'll show you just briefly here, I have about me, which just has my AI working style, how this system works, things about me that are literally just like, I wanted to read this before every session so it knows like Kate Kordsmeier, I live in Atlanta, my husband is Matt, you know, different things about me. And then this is my brand iOS file. I also have my human design in here. And then I have mostly the most important thing is my work life. And it's really these three sections, but you kind of put. Fathom, this is like a really complicated system. I will find the link for you. It's called AI and Sheep. It's a weird name. It would make sense if you like followed the backstory of it. She has a sheep farm. Anyway, it's this whole thing. It uses a tool called Obsidian. It's very kind of complicated. So I don't want to get too in the weeds with it here. But I just started implementing this like less than two weeks ago. So that's why I'm also like, I don't even know that I recommend it yet. And I'm still kind of trying to figure out how to get it to work properly. But it basically creates like a wiki for you every week. It like goes through all of your chats and outputs and things. And it creates this like massive web of like all the things that you're doing and they're all like connected. And then you can alternate like you can connect your vault now to Claude or to ChatGPT or Grok or whatever the heck you, you know, Gemini. Saturday. week. Bye. And now you can, it will know everything about you don't have to like start over and retrain things each time. So that's kind of one of the benefits of it. All right, let's see where we are. So getting grounded first, confirming the MBA price and offer facts from offer suite skill. So I have a skill that it has my entire offer suite in it. So it's just reviewing that MBA pricing confirmed against the offer suite is correct. So the upsell math works 30 skills times $39, 1170. MBA is 13, 27 more. Okay. One flag before the questions, your call notes pitched MBA as every course, future skill drops and coaching. MBA doesn't include coaching. Okay. So that is not exactly true. MBA, it keeps telling me not hearing anything. And I'm like, why MBA does include coaching. Not only do you get one call a month as part of the room, Being an MBA, you get one coaching call every single month, but you also get a monthly email check-in. If you fill in the check-in form every month, a real human on our team will respond to you with personalized feedback and coaching by email every single month. And there's other coaching included, which you need to read my sales page to get all of the details if you're missing them. Okay, so then I'll just drop my sales page. Actually, that's my pretty link, so let's see, oops, oh, I have it pulled up already. Okay, here we go. Sometimes I will say that to Claude where I'm just like, okay, wait, why am I telling you all of this? Just go read this page and you'll figure it out. also, September has 30 days, not 31. Great, I don't think I ever said 31, but that's fine. the number even rhymes with the story. 39th birthday, 30. 30. 9, 30 days. Here's everything I need. The mechanics, 30 skills, one per day, September 1st through the 30th, weekends included. Yes, weekends included. 30 skills, one per day, every single day. Truly gone after 24 hours. So no last chance to grab any skill weekend. So yes, truly gone after 24 hours, except I probably will do an encore the first week of October where they have 24 more hours to grab any single one of the skills or join MBA. So October 1st, we would give them 24 more hours and they could choose any one of the 30 skills or multiple or Or get them all in MBA. The 24-hour window I'm thinking should be 6 to 8 a.m. through 6 to 8 a.m. the next day. What do you suggest? Okay, let's see. Next questions. And y'all feel free to ask in the chat, like, wait, why are you deciding that or anything that's coming up for you? Can someone buy only today's skill or will there be any multi-skill bundle? There will not be a multi-skill bundle, only today's skill. What does the buyer actually receive? Yes, so $39 they will get the SkillsMD files and install instructions. Those will be delivered. third, I think the way that we should set... What up is probably that we'll have a product for every single skill inside of Kartra, and when they buy that product, it will send them a confirmation email, and that confirmation email will be written in HTML, and it will include the link to download the file and the install instructions for both Claude and ChatGPT in the email itself. So there would not be a download page or anything in Kartra. 38:38 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I'm going to pause here because I feel like Rachel's going to say no. I think we will need something in Kartra because we automatically, with every purchase, send out an email that says, like, this is your portal login, and there's no way to turn it off for individual products, so I think my recommendation might be to create a portal. . In Kartra, that's one portal for everybody, and then inside the portal, it will give them instructions on how to check their email or whatever the instructions are going to be. I don't think it makes sense to have 30 different membership portals in there, but I do think we will need something in Kartra, or I'll get a ton of customer service tickets about it. 39:22 Kate Kordsmeier: I think you're right. I know we just recently went through this. So actually then maybe what we would do is say, there's one membership portal in Kartra, which is called Kate's 39th birthday skill sale, or something like that. And then we would have different access levels for all 30 skills. So on the delivery side, at the product level in Kartra, when they buy a skill. It would give them access to the membership, but only to the lesson that that one skill is included in. And that's where we would have the HTML built that, and then I'm just going to copy this and say that will include the link. Okay, so skills in the info. Okay, so I'm deleting this and saying, so is that what you think, Rach? 40:33 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Well, I mean, I think we could do it like that. Or I think we could just have one portal that says, like, check your email for access. Like, I don't think we need to have 30 different access levels. I want it to be the simplest as possible because I already think we're going to get a lot of customer service tickets about this event. So I want Claw to design this and make suggestions to make it as simple as possible. 40:55 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay. We may also want to include... table. was play indo, in An email confirmation for each product that includes that same HTML with the download link and instructions, and I'm not sure if we should have just one portal that says check your email, or if we should have one portal with 30 different lessons and 30 different access levels, so I'm looking to you for suggestions here to make this as simple and easy as possible and cut down on the amount of customer service tickets. We know we're going to get a lot of customer service tickets from people who can't find their skills and that are confused by the order confirmation email that Kartra automatically sends out to everybody that says to log into the portal, and we can't turn that off, so we're just trying to resolve that issue in the cleanest, simplest way possible. Okay. Yes. Buyers get the skill as is, not future updates. Future updates live inside MBA only. And refunds, we have a seven day no questions asked refunds policy for all of our products. So we will apply that here as well. Although Rachel doesn't like when I say no questions asked, because we do usually ask them why they want to refund, even though we will give them a refund for any single reason that they They possibly come up with, and they don't have to give us a reason to get the refund. 42:35 Rachel Silves - Team KK: But are we going to do refunds for this, Kate? Because we did not do any refunds for this is how we clawed. 42:40 Kate Kordsmeier: because that wasn't my product. 42:43 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Ah, okay. But there's really no way that we can, like, even if we give them a refund, we can't revoke, like, they've already downloaded the skill, we can't get the skill back. 42:52 Kate Kordsmeier: Same thing if they buy MBA, they could download all the skills and all the materials and we can't get it back. 42:58 Rachel Silves - Team KK: okay. 43:00 Kate Kordsmeier: I think, like, the only reason I changed it for This Is How We Clawed is because they weren't my skills, they were the contributors' skills, and so it felt like I'm not dealing with refunds for things that aren't even my business, but I think, like, we have a universal seven-day refund policy, so it seems like this is where I have to go, I'm just gonna have to trust my people to be good ethical people, and that if they want a refund because they have a legitimate reason, of course, we will, I mean, we'll give it to them regardless, but that we're going to assume best intentions of our people that they're not gonna just buy a bunch of skills, use them, and then ask for a refund, even though they're gonna keep using them. we have to go through all this friction, Tara, exactly. Like, you think, oh, this is just like a super, you know, straightforward thing, and it's, it's not, and, and. And it's hard, because it is true, like in, I mean, how many conversations have we had, Rachel, just about our refund policy in general? Like, over the last few years, we've changed it, we go back and forth, we get really, like, we get burned by a few people, and they go, everybody, we're just gonna do it this way, and said, no refunds, ever, for any reason. And then we're like, that's not how I want to be, that was like a reactionary, you know, thing, and so, it's, but we always have to think about it, and it's really hard, when, when you're giving them something that is so, like, instant access, like, it's a PDF, it's a skill, it's a something that I can't get back from you, it's not like I can just revoke your access, and then you can't, you know, attend calls anymore, or something. So, I do have a storefront shop, but it is just a page in WordPress, actually, on ShowIt, I use ShowIt for my site, and so, all of my products are sold through Kartra. So. And then I just have like a page that I built that looks like a storefront but it's not like a Shopify store and we don't have a traditional shopping cart where you could like add this course and then go back and then oh I'm gonna add this other course to my cart like we don't have a cart with the Kartra setup. We did with Shopify but it wasn't worth it. Okay. Infrastructure. Checkout. 30 separate Kartra checkouts. Clean tagging and per-skill delivery or one reuse $39 checkout. Okay. Definitely 30 separate Kartra checkouts. But I'm having this thought. Let's see. Okay. So I definitely think for the infrastructure, we're going to need 30 separate Kartra checkouts because we want to see which skills in particular sold and we need to be able to deliver the right skill to the right product. So it's definitely going to be tedious, but I trust you, Claude, that you are capable of setting this up for me. You're going to build those. Not me or Rachel. You're going to do as As much as you can possibly do, the one thought I have, though, is that we do have one master birthday sale page, and that page just keeps getting updated daily with the new skill offer and the checkout, so we don't have 30 separate pages, and then on that sales page, we would make it really clear with different sections what this exact skill is and what they'd be getting and why why they need it, and that it's $39, or they can get all 30 skills inside MBA plus all the other things that they get inside MBA. I will likely be running retargeting ads on Meta to this, but mostly it's going to be list only. I do have Block Builder, so we could set up some sort of Airtable Block Builder integration where we would have an Airtable. That has all of the information about each skill, and then that would just switch out each day based on what the day is and what skill is being sold that day. So let me know if that feels like a better solution or if we should just build it. I mean, the page is going to live in HTML pub either way, but should we embed a block builder thing and the whole thing is kind of run through a clean air table base or you have a different idea that would be better? Okay. And so notice, like I'm doing all of this in one chat. I'm not like starting and stopping, and I do think that this is where Claude, Code, and Fable together work really well so that you can get it going on a lot of things at once. Okay. Do all 30 skills live inside MBA permanently via the new skills download page? So this is an idea that Rachel and I had last month. What? Which is that we're going to build a page inside the MBA portal that's just like install your AI employees and your team on this one page so that you don't have to go searching through the individual courses to find each skill. We'll just have one page that's like, here's all of your skills all at once. Again, this makes me nervous because somebody could buy MBA and download all of those skills and then say, I want a refund. But I'm just going to have to trust that the percentage of people who will do that versus the percentage of people who are good ethical people is very small and it's worth the risk to better serve my clients. So, yes, all 30 skills live inside MBA permanently via the new skills download page. We do need to build that page in using the Kartra HTML skill. now. another skill. Thank But use yes. really, know, We are going to be adding a bunch more, which is going to boost reasons for getting MBA and help our current MBA clients feel really valued and lucky because they had to pay once, and we're adding 20 new skills to what they already paid for, and they don't have to give us another dollar. 49:23 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Hey, there's a really interesting idea from Kate O'Connor in the chat. 49:28 Kate Kordsmeier: can you make a tracking link in Kartra to see when they're downloaded and have a link disclaimer saying full refund if this hasn't all been downloaded? So that is a really interesting idea. The one thing is I'm like, what would I consider a legitimate refund request? And I do think it's legitimate, I think, I gotta say this out loud and see, do I actually believe this? If somebody, if I bought a skill that said seven days, no questions asked refund, and I bought it and it sucked. And I was like, this skill is terrible, it's not built right, it's not easily customizable, it's not blah, blah, blah, like, wouldn't that be a legitimate reason to say like, even if we're like, well, I don't think it sucks, but if you do, then maybe I should refund you, you know, if you buy a shirt, and what it looks like online isn't what it looks like in person, or it doesn't fit, or it's not right for you, it's a perfectly reasonable reason to get a refund. So if we made it that they couldn't download it first, then it's sort of like, well, then, you don't know if you want a refund yet or not. Right? I'm very curious to hear like, everybody else's thoughts in the chat to about how you would handle this or what you think about that. I do think it seems reasonable. that's true. I mean, it would be something sort of interesting to look at. Even if we didn't do anything with the data, like, just to go, other people, like, we can see in Kartra, you know, how many lessons people have completed and, like, what pages you viewed and that sort of thing. So sometimes when we get a refund request, we'll go in and be like, did they even open MBA? Because sometimes people ask for a refund and they literally never logged in. . So I think, and then this is where I go, like, just keep it simple. What problem am I trying to solve? Like, I don't want to make decisions or spend too much time on, like, my worst clients. I want to focus on my best clients. My best clients would never do this. So I think, it's an unfortunate part of business. Totally, Katie. Right, every business has to deal with it. But fortunately, we have a very low refund rate because I think we put out really high quality products and we give. I think we get more sales from people who feel more safe and confident buying knowing that they could refund if it's garbage because people get so burned by bad coaches and programs and whatever that, I think that feels good. But I like the idea. I think it's something to think about. I'm going to noodle on that. Okay. Bonus stack on MBA. My rec is no new discount and no new bonus. MBA buyers got the whole library. . So right, Rachel, that's what we decided to do. Like there's definitely no discount on MBA, but are we giving them a bonus for buying MBA during this birthday sale month other than you're getting 20 new skills? 52:44 Rachel Silves - Team KK: We didn't really talk about that. I mean, I like the idea of giving them a bonus. 52:53 Kate Kordsmeier: Yes. So one thought that I'm having, and I wrote this in the ClickUp task this morning. An idea on this is that I have felt like I think some of this like I think a lot of things in Claude are so simple and everybody knows it and this is so easy and nobody would pay me to teach them this nobody needs this and then we go like we hosted our roundtable for the this is how we Claude event this week and holy cow people knew nothing about Claude like the they were so beginner and so it made me think I should really create like a Claude 101. course that is like super basic so I'm kind of thinking what if that's the bonus is if you buy MBA you're going to get this brand new course that's coming in October on Claude 101 so that you can easily like work your way through all of these skills and understand how you can have AI running your business and that would be like the bonus for joining MBA or it's like if you buy three or more skills you get this Claude 101. 54:02 Rachel Silves - Team KK: So I really like that idea. The idea that I was having when you were even like, when you were talking is like, or we could do that and or we could do like a co-working session on actually installing the skills. So it's like they're getting the skills and then they're getting the time to actually like sit down and install them all in their business, like for accountability. 54:25 Kate Kordsmeier: So I think that's great. So maybe what it is, is that the forthcoming bonus of this new course would be delivered live with people in October, and then they could come live and they'd get the 101 course and we'd install, like teach them how to install the skills all together. 54:44 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Love it. What do you guys think? 54:46 Kate Kordsmeier: Would you like that? Would that feel juicy to you? Cloud 101 for beginners delivered. Feel free to say no, too, if that's actually not juicy for you. Not interested. One for Beginners delivered live in October, where we'll also teach them how to install the skills during a co-working session live together, value 297, live co-working, very good. 55:20 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I don't know if I love the term, like, I mean, I do think what Amanda said, too, is, like, I don't want to position the, like, learn how to install skills, because, like, I think if then if people already know how they're gonna be like, well, I'm not going to that, it's more of, like, the implementation and the accountability piece, for at least the, like, co-working session. 55:39 Kate Kordsmeier: See, the, the problem that I'm having with that, like, I, I agree, and I know there are people in my audience who are like, I wouldn't like the, like, beginner idea of it, but I think there are way more people in my audience who are self-proclaimed noobs about, and are like, we had so many people in the chat being like, Like, what even is Claude? What's his skill? What's chat versus co-work and things? And I'm like, wait, you don't know this yet? And people were saying, I'm so overwhelmed. I'm such a beginner. I don't even know where to start. . Live asynchronous is hard for you. A lot of people who are new, you would be developing new customers for your higher offers implementation. Okay. Take the piece. . 56:27 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Maybe it's two different things. Like, it's like the Claude 101 for beginners is one part, and then the implementation to install the skills is the second part. So that then people that are beginners could totally do the Live 101 thing, but then anybody who wants the implementation to do the install for accountability would be like, and even if they're on the same day, there's like different hours or whatever. They're just, and they're marketed as a little different. 56:53 Kate Kordsmeier: . Okay. That's really helpful. Thank you, everybody. I like that. And then do you think this. This is just for MBA people, if you're, if you buy MBA during this month, you'll get this bonus, or should it also be, or if you buy a certain number of skills, you'd get this bonus. 57:12 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I kind of think it should be if you buy a certain number of skills, but I think it should be like 10 or something or 15, like a bigger number. 57:22 Kate Kordsmeier: Hey, this course would be worth 297, 297 divided by 39 is 7.6. So if we want to be like, we have to have kind of spent around the value of what this bonus is, I don't really know where I came up with that theory, but just a one way to look at this would be like, you have to buy, seven or eight skills, which would mean, I mean, I think the thing that we always come back to is like, what's the thing we really want people to do? Do we really want people to buy individual skills or do we want people to buy MBA? So don't make it juicier for them to buy individual skills. The make it juicier for them to buy MBA. And people who are already in MBA already have all the skills. don't need to buy anything separate. They'll be getting all of these anyway. So, okay. Decided. 58:14 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Okay. 58:16 Kate Kordsmeier: Skill purchase credit toward MBA. No. That's my vote. What do you think, Rachel? 58:22 Rachel Silves - Team KK: No. That's going to be a nightmare for me to customer serve. 58:29 Kate Kordsmeier: . Nightmare. Aw, thanks, Britt. I'm glad you like MBA so much. MBA members and the sales emails. Exclude them from the 30 day emails. Yes. I think so, right? 58:44 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Exclude. I don't know. I kind of want them to get the emails because then they'll know what the skill, the new brand new skills are. Like, I think in every single email we could, like, we're already going to be telling them. It's already an MBA, but I don't know. Anyone. Who's in here in MBA? Do you want the emails or not? 59:01 Kate Kordsmeier: Let us know. I would be getting one email every single day about, I vote exclude. I think what we should do instead is send MBA members a weekly update that's like, hey, this birthday sale is going on. Don't buy anything. You already get it for free. And but here's what's coming. Exclude. . Weekly update. Okay, cool. I think that's what I'll do then. I like the MBA people to like, no, like, man, we're just adding a ton of value to what you already paid for, but I don't want to like bombard. 59:42 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Even though we're going to be bombarding everybody else. We're just doing it. 59:46 Kate Kordsmeier: . But there is going to be an opt out, of course. Every promotion we always run says you can opt out of this promo if you never want to hear about our skills again. Make sure we include our... Our skills opt out, which is already built in Beehive in every single promo email for non-MBA members so that if they want to stay on our list, but opt out of this birthday sale, they will be excluded. And then make sure that the send conditions on every email we send to our whole list, go to the whole soul list and what's happening segment, but exclude people who have opted out of the birthday sale. And then every email is also going to have the footer at the bottom where they can snooze our emails for 30 days. Okay. Which 15 existing skills are in and do you want me to propose the full 30 skill lineup as my first deliverable for you? . So. so the first, oh, let's see. So the skills I already have included in MBA are listed on the sale. I'll pop a screenshot here just so you can see them, and then yes, one of the things I need to decide is what other skills am I going to add, and what skills do I already have created in my own library that I just need to generify for my clients to use, and what skills do I not even have yet that I might need to create for this. I kind of doubt I need to create anything because I have so many skills, but we will definitely be generifying skills. Don't do that yet. That can be a project that we get to once we decide what the 30 skill lineup is going to be. I will say that I have had friends run these skill sales recently and they have said that the skills that perform best are the skills... Actually, let me pull that chat so that I can... Tell it exactly, you guys are gonna see a tiny bit of my weird hermit's chat in telegram here so we talk a lot guys every day is like Monica did this screenshot here we go okay I'm gonna copy this get away come back here okay the skills I mean that's specific for Monica's audience right skills that build something beat skills that plan something and then Ruth said my best selling skills by a mile are all about building and especially building with AI so skills that build something versus plan something see screenshot for I need to take a screenshot of these things. So here's our current skills. I didn't realize you named them all. But I always had. They always were because when they were custom GPTs, they, I feel like that was like the trend for a while. Okay. Does the sale have a name yet? I'll propose options. Okay. The sale does not have a name yet, but I'm fine with something fairly simple and straightforward over something clever like 39th Birthday Claude Skills Sale. Something better than that, but it can be pretty simple. how of a situation. I you. And I do feel like Claude's skills are what people are most interested in, and it's sort of like a bonus that they can use them on ChatGPT also, but I know a lot of my people have not migrated to Claude and still use ChatGPT, so I don't want them to think that these skills are not for them, so maybe we shouldn't include the AI tool in the name, or it should just be something like AI skill sale. I think we should do Claude's skill sale personally, but... Okay. confirm today's deliverable list and priority order. My proposed order, 30-skill lineup, calendar, yes. Sale name, messaging brief, yes. Master sales page, email sequence, MBA skills, download page, Cartris, Excel, okay, yes. Yes, your... You're... You're... You're... You're... You're... ... ... Plan and number 18 sounds good. Okay, let's go. So that part is what takes the longest, right, is in the very beginning. And especially because I didn't have anything set for this, like in the other event one, I kind of knew already a little bit more of like how we were going to do this. So, this part took a lot of just like thinking through all the logistics. But what's great is again, like, this is where I just get to be the CEO who says, okay, let me make these decisions. Let me think through the strategy piece of this. And then I can just, it's like, I imagine what it used to feel like is that we would have these like five hour long team meetings. And then at the end, I had, you know, three to five employees, like human employees on the team. that I would say, okay, now everybody knows what their job is, like, here's your marching orders, go do the thing. And then like weeks would pass. And of course, I'd be like, Has anybody done the thing yet? Or like have to follow up and people would do it and I'd be like, oh no, that's not right. And like, you can't just, the way you deliver feedback to a human is way different than the way you can deliver feedback to a robot. And I can be a lot more just like direct and straightforward and not worry so much about like, okay, I don't want to hurt their feelings, compliment sandwich, you know, this and that. And so now it's like, we have this, we just had our team meeting and now it's like, great, go, go forth. Go do all the things now that we just set up. So while that's working, more time for questions. This, we have about 22 minutes left on this call. So what else would y'all like to see or know about today? I was hoping this wouldn't take as long as it did to just like make these decisions live with you, but I hope it was helpful to see our thought process and how we plan things and what we think about. I often come back. And to that, like, what's the problem we're trying to solve? What's the thing we really want people to do? What's the simplest, easiest way to do this? Those are like some of the questions that hopefully you saw us sort of like asking ourselves as we're like, should we do this? Should we do that? And again, I don't have to have all the answers. Like how many times did I say in this, I think I want to do it this way, but maybe you know of a better way. And I'm like, I am asking Claude to help me make decisions too. And like to be a thinking partner, to come up with better ways. So I think sometimes I hear from our clients that like, you don't want to use Claude until you know exactly what you want or how to do it. And I think that's a mistake because Claude can help you figure that out. Okay, all decisions captured. Before I draft the lineup and messaging brief, I'm loading the brand skill voice and pulling your MBA sales page so the coaching details and the MBA pitch are... . Oh, LaShae, good. I'm glad. Thank you for appreciating the rawness. It is definitely a vulnerable thing to get up here and just like, let's do this live in front of other people. Showing how the sausage gets made is not very . I get 90% complete, but tying up the last 10% with delivery and follow up is still a hurdle for me. So I wonder Tara, if you started using Claude, maybe you are like more agentically like this, where it's like, there's no hurdle because Claude is the one doing the work. And so, you know, I don't have to like, motivate myself to like, okay, just finish the sales page. It's like Claude already finished the sales page. I don't know if that makes sense, but that's sort of what came up for me. Becky says, love this so far. How much of this strategizing with Claude is dependent on the skills and history you already have? Okay. So that's a really good question, Becky. I find that sometimes it is, let me think about how I want to answer this, I do think it does depend on, like, your history with Claude and what it knows about you. I do think that definitely helps, and that's one of the reasons why, like, I wanted to do this in my vault that has, like, a lot of background on me and a lot of, a lot of history. I do have skills, like, I have a decision-maker skill, and so sometimes I will, like, call in that skill specifically if I'm, like, I'm still stuck on this decision, what would the decision-maker skill say? Or I have, like, a money-mindset coach skill, and I'll be like, what would my money-mindset coach say about this? so I'll sometimes, like, have this chat with Claude where I go back and forth asking it about what different skills I have would say. about the situation, they're- Thanks, Amanda. They are very cool skills. I feel like I use those almost as much as I use, like, you know, the email writer skill or the sales page builder skill and things like that. . And I also have this one that I bought from somebody else, but it's like a billion dollar board skill. And it's actually, like, all of the, like, marketing bros, like Hermozzi and Russell Brunson and Dan Kennedy and Seth Godin, people that I don't, like, follow and I don't really necessarily agree with, but sometimes I will ask it, like, what would the billion dollar board say about this? And we'll have these, like, board meetings where I'll pull in these different perspectives and just use it as sort of, like, something to think about, like, oh, well, you know, and sometimes it's like so-and-so would say this, and I'm like, no, that I'm never going to do that. that. But it's helpful to just like brainstorm and get some different ideas. I don't know how long this aspect is going to take, but I was going to show you all here. So that billion dollar board, you can see, I asked it, what would the board say about this 39th birthday skill sale? And so Seth Godin's ruling was the name, the birthday 39, the library page is your AI team, each skill titled as a role, outcomes first, the word AI second, okay, scope. So the CEO skill, like I have a CEO strategist, I have a CFO strategist. So again, like just thinking about it, like if you, if I was like a real, I am a real company, but if I had like Like a traditional business and I would go and I would sit in this like boardroom with people right and we would have these different like the marketing strategist and the finance person and all these different perspectives I sort of think of it as like coming together and sitting down and I've heard people that will do like they have Oprah on their board or they have, what's her name, I want to say Steph Blake, Sarah Blakely from Spanx or like just really successful entrepreneurs and I don't have any of those skills yet I'm sure it would actually be fairly easy to to build out like what they're known for and like just sort of thinking like what would it be like if Sarah Blakely was on your on your board Tara reading your comment in the chat here I do think getting out of the way and letting Claude do more would really free you up I think it's interesting I wonder like why You haven't yet, with no judgment, just like genuine curiosity of why you haven't let Claude do more, I think women in particular find this really hard to not be the one that has to do everything, but I have had nothing but, well, I was going to say nothing but success having Claude do things for me. Of course, I've had failures, but they've all led to successes, like, sometimes it takes more back and forth, sometimes it, you know, there's, it's not always smooth sailing, but in the end, I'm always so grateful that I, that this exists. The, that just is making me think as I'm reading this, the checkout Brunson says order bump is coffee with Claude, which no, that's not going to make sense because coffee with Claude is going to be one of the skills in the skill sale. but we are going to have to think about what do we want the bump. Bump Offer, and the Upsell to be for each of these skills. So, Rachel, that's something that we chat about, too. 1:14:11 Rachel Silves - Team KK: because they should all be different. Definitely not. 1:14:17 Kate Kordsmeier: I'm not doing. I think they should probably all be either Room, 1K Day. 1:14:23 Rachel Silves - Team KK: . Yay. 1:14:24 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay, so then if somebody buys multiple skills, they'll just see the same Bump and Upsell offer every time. I didn't think about that. Well, normally what we do is we have... Oh, good. Okay, let's come back to that so we can keep doing this live real quick. Okay, all decisions captured. So this is what I want you all to see. Like, we've got deliverables are drafted. So now we have this file here. We have this campaign plan. So we can pull this up. Let's see. Let's you. will Sorry. I just want to get some things out of the way here. So this is what my like kind of punch list looked like for the other one that I kept trying to show you and I couldn't find, is we've got this kind of punch list, these are the decisions that got made, so we can see September 1st through the 30th, $39 per skill, all those things that we talked about, there's an encore on October 1st, what buyers get, so all those things are in here, MBA stack for sale copies, so this is kind of all the things that they get inside of MBA, Claude initially claimed MBA had no coaching, wrong, correct, okay, email rules, we've got send conditions, fulfillment, design, okay, so this is basically just, these are all the things and here's what we're going to start like, Working through these deliverables now together. So then we have, that is the camp. So this is the campaign plan. Then we have the skill lineup. So this is the proposed, we have 13 existing skills live today on the MBA page. And I know we actually have technically more than this. Like we have a welcome series generator. It's not a skill currently, but it would take like two seconds to turn it into a skill. So I know there's a few others that we could do, but basically this says, let's see. So again, this is things to, we're like this, how much time did this save me having it proposed the skills based on everything versus me sitting down and like starting from scratch and staring at something. So, okay. builders beat planners, top five sellers all produced a finished asset skill builder and Evaluator. Okay. This is all from Monica's thing. Kate's subject line and flash sale skills were deliberately left off the lineup for this reason. Okay. So that's interesting. And if there's ever something where I'm like, eh, I want to go back and change that. Of course I can do that. September 1st opener, the 15th payday, September 28th, my actual birthday, September 30th finale carry the four biggest draws. Fridays get money recovery skills. Weekends get lighter lifestyle visibility skills. Oh, fun. I'll be excited to have some lifestyle skills. Okay. So we have our 13 existing skills and then the 17 new skills. So I can already tell you, I'm going to have some edits here. I'm going to like, this is, this is the anthropic skill, the skill creator. So I'm definitely not going to do that. Okay. So the campaign plan looks excellent. I am. I'm going to give you some feedback on the skills that you proposed, the 17. So one is the Billy, the skill builder skill is built from the skill creator skill, which is an anthropic native skill, so I'm not going to include that, we'll need to replace that with something better. Rachel, we got requests from somebody, and I even made a note of this now, and I can't remember where I put it. 1:18:30 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I think it, sorry, go ahead. 1:18:32 Kate Kordsmeier: Rachel, were like, oh, I would love to see skills, oh, the Kartra portal. 1:18:36 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Rachel, I think it was from Jessica Shea. 1:18:41 Kate Kordsmeier: Rachel, okay, make a note of, or just keep that in your head for a second, it might already be on this list, I'm not sure. Okay, I like the workbook builder skill, that's like our branded doc, so it can, excuse me, create PDFs and spreadsheets. Google Docs and stuff for you. Some of these are skills that I've bought from other people, so I don't want to, I can't resell those, obviously, they need to be like my own skills. So some of these skills are skills I also bought from other people and haven't made enough of my own, so I can't sell those. For example, the Course Designer skill, the Checkout Copywriter skill, the Pinterest skill, and the Offer Builder skill. Those will need to be replaced with something that's my own. I know that people have been asking for our HTML Builder skill for Course Portals, so like the Kartra HTML. I want to include in here. I definitely want to include the AI slop audit skill. That's one of my favorites. The welcome sequence skill, opt in page writer, webinar architect, the meta ad copywriter. I think I could probably include some of that, but a lot of it is trained on courses that I've paid for. So I would need to really generify this so that I'm not selling somebody else's IP. I'm pretty sure the sponsor pitch writer skill is the same thing as scout. Although maybe one is a podcast guesting skill and one is a sponsorship brand deal skill. So we could separate them that way. The interview prep skill would be great. Okay, so those are a few edits, and then I'm gonna come into my skill library. Ooh, which looks different now. There'd be a customer service skill. Oh you have that, right? 1:21:24 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I think we both. I think it's in our skill library. 1:21:28 Kate Kordsmeier: Okay, so I want to look at my skills. These are like all anthropic skills. I'm like, where are my actual... See how they all say bi-anthropic? Maybe you should use that air table base. 1:21:46 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I don't know why it's not showing up. 1:21:47 Kate Kordsmeier: I don't know why it's showing weird here. By you. Oh, there you go. Oh, the offer suite skill could be... Good. The HTML email template skill would be good. The newsletter prep skill would be good. The Sunday look ahead pulse skill would be good. Oh, I definitely want to include our school community skills. There's two or three of those we could include. The membership hub skill. The affiliate program. No, not the affiliate program skill. Oh, let's do the inbox voice skill. what is our deal? Maybe the ad strategist skill, about the launch debrief, for sure, maybe the CFO strategist, CEO strategist, strategist. I think the Launch Orchestrator, probably. The Call Recap, I'm already in MBA. The Weekly Meal Planner, maybe Kate's Decision Maker, and that's good. So, let's come back here. I don't think this is supposed say, I'm going to read that. Okay, so those are the skills. And then the calendar. I'm not going to worry about the calendar just yet because we just changed a bunch of the skills. Okay, so it created that for us. Then this is the sales name and messaging brief. So $39 skill drop, the birthday skill drop, the 39th birthday AI skill sale. 30 skills of September. Do we like any of these? 1:25:59 Rachel Silves - Team KK: There's not one. The that's like standing out to me, I think they're all fine. The $39, the $39 skill drop might be my favorite out of them. 1:26:14 Kate Kordsmeier: What do you guys think? The, I know, 39 for 39. That's, I like something like that. How about something like 39 or 39. Do think skill drop is good. Probably Claude in there actually. Oh, I like that Tara. Maybe you have nine bonus skills that you get when you buy a bundle to make it 39. The only thing is like, again, what do we really want them to do? Buy MBA. Not buy a skill bundle, so then I think I come back to, okay, so now I'm just kind of looking at the core messaging frame, for $39 you hire one of my AI employees, these skills are not sold a la carte ever, the only other way to get them is in MBA, each one exists, okay, so this has got all of the different angles and stuff, if you guys weren't here live with me, I might like read through this a little closer, but let me just come back over here now, so we can get this going, so I'm just gonna send this, and then we'll see what this says, so, okay, window, 7am to 7am, I think that makes sense, right, I was thinking somewhere in the 6 to 8 range. Eastern Time, that gives people, it's like I want it to be so they can get it first thing in the morning, but then if they didn't get the skill from the day before, they still have a few minutes to get it, you know, the next day. So if it's like 6am, then nobody's going to buy it the next morning because people aren't, well, it's not true. People are in all different kinds of time zones and buy it all different kinds of times. But I kind of felt like 8am Eastern would give them the most chance to get the skill in the last couple of hours. What do you think? 1:28:39 Rachel Silves - Team KK: I like 7 to 7. 1:28:45 Kate Kordsmeier: MBA is Rome. That's funny, Tara. Okay, time window, and then I'm going to have to hop off guys in like two seconds. 7 to 7. Okay, so what you're going to see, I'll be very interested. To like watch you guys see the actual sale come to life now and know that like Claude built all the things, it's gonna go and write all the emails, like we're just deciding on the skills, deciding on the rules, the details, the messaging, and then it's gonna go and build all the things. So what I think what's gonna happen after this is that it's gonna create the master page for me, it's gonna start writing the emails. And hopefully by Monday, August 31st, this will all be done. My goal is to have it done totally in advance so that I'm not like writing emails on September 3rd for September 4th. It's like, nope, this is done. And that's what's really cool about Claude doing it too, is like, how long would it take me to write 30 emails? And it's gonna take Claude 15 minutes. And then it's gonna take me 30 minutes to just go in and make my tweaks and edits and whatnot. until next one night. one membership, 30 lessons, 30 access levels. Never check your email. Okay, Rachel, that's what it's saying. recommends. 30 access levels, not a one lesson that says. Okay. 1:30:21 Rachel Silves - Team KK: Babe, boo, but you're going to do it for us, Claude. 1:30:25 Kate Kordsmeier: Number two, portal is good. Page, skip block builder. All 30 days are knowable in advance, so we'll bake the full schedule into the page itself. It rotates 7am Eastern, grays out dead days, flips on core mode. Okay. That's fine. okay. To unblock everything else. So, and number three, good. Two. Okay. I think I'm going to I have to end it here guys, as usual, I would have loved to have more time, but that 90 minutes went fast. Thanks for joining. I love seeing your faces. I'm sorry you couldn't see mine for most of that, but hopefully the internet connection was worth it. Can't wait to hear your feedback, and I'll see you next month. Bye everybody. Bye everyone.

Recap

Meeting Purpose

Plan and build the September birthday sale using Claude as a project orchestrator.

Key Takeaways

  • Sale strategy: "39 for 39": a skill a day at $39 for 24 hours, built to drive MBA sign-ups (buy one skill, or get the whole library plus future skills and coaching in MBA).
  • Bonus structure: two-part bonus for new MBA members: a live "Claude 101" course and a co-working session for skill installation.
  • Tech stack: Claude Code with Fable 5 orchestrating; 30 separate Kartra checkouts feeding one Kartra portal with 30 access levels.
  • Execution model: Kate as "puppet master" making decisions while Claude builds pages, emails and automations.

Topics

The "Puppet Master" Workflow

  • Example from This Is How We Claude: a ClickUp project link plus an Airtable base of contributors produced the PDF guide, opt-in page, sales pages, Beehiiv sequences and Airtable updates in roughly 10–15 total hours, about 5 of them Kate's.

September Birthday Sale Strategy

  • 30 skills, one per day for 24 hours at $39, Sept 1–30 with a 24-hour encore Oct 1; 7-day refund policy kept for trust.
  • Messaging must sell MBA's coaching and courses, since 30 skills at $39 ($1,170) is less than MBA.

Technical Implementation

  • One Kartra portal, one lesson per skill; a single master sales page in HTMLPub updated daily; 30 Kartra checkouts for per-skill sales data.

Skill Lineup & Bonus

  • Prioritize "builder" skills over "planner" skills. Bonus delivered live in October: Claude 101 plus a co-working session.

Email & Audience Segmentation

  • MBA members get a weekly update of new skills instead of daily promos; non-MBA list gets daily promos with a sale-only opt-out.

Next Steps

  • Kate: finalize the 30-skill lineup, approve the calendar and messaging, create graphics.
  • Claude: master sales page, 30 Kartra checkouts and products, 30 daily Beehiiv emails, the Skills Download Page.
  • Rachel: the Kartra portal with 30 access levels.
