How have things been going with the sponsor spots in your newsletters? I haven’t seen anything in the diaries about it and I’m endlessly curious! Do they sell easily? How do you promote the spots? Have they had an impact on click-throughs in your own email content?

Kate's take, in a sentence or two

Kate found that sponsorships sell best in bursts (like her $38 birthday flash sale and $150 Black Friday sale), while full-price $250 spots trickle in steadily—together bringing in about $27.5k total, plus a separate $555 from less lucrative Beehive-native sponsorships she's considering dropping. She mostly promotes spots passively through the recurring "book your own sponsorship" link in her regular emails (which gets surprisingly high clicks) rather than dedicated promos, and she discovered sponsor inclusion doesn't hurt her own click rates—solo sponsor emails actually perform best but are underused, and about 60 paid spots (mostly from the discounted sales) still haven't been redeemed.
