Kate's team is just her and Rachel, a longtime part-time contractor who handles most client delivery, customer service, and retention work, and also serves as Kate's strategic brainstorming partner and informal coach. Kate has learned she works best with one trusted "right hand" person rather than managing a full staff, since she dislikes managing people and finds AI now handles enough of the heavy lifting that two people (working well under 60 hours combined) can generate strong income while maintaining real work-life balance. She's tried larger teams before and doesn't recommend it—she'd rather stay lean, be patient about what can't get done in a given season, and lean on contract support only when it truly adds value.
