I’m also curious (because I just did my first podcast guesting!) what is your post-podcast process related to promotion/announcements, follow-up, evergreen preparation…anything you do to get it in the pipeline?

Kate's take, in a sentence or two

Kate doesn't overthink podcast prep at all—she just shows up as herself without reading interview questions beforehand, believing over-preparation actually hurts the natural flow of a good conversation. After appearing on a show, she does minimal promotion (mentioning it in her School community or an email), saving bigger promotional pushes for standout opportunities like huge shows, and sometimes creates a special tracking link or unique coupon code when she wants to measure results, as she did successfully for Jenna's audience. Her real takeaway is that having a high-converting, well-optimized website matters more than any podcast-specific system, since that's what actually captures and converts the traffic once people show up.
