I asked this in the week in a life document but what do you think about projects versus skills. Should we be using mostly skills or using both? What is your strategy around them and how do you think through it for setting things up for your business?

Kate's take, in a sentence or two

Kate mostly uses skills (90% of the time) and prefers working in regular Claude chat, layering skills in as needed, since she likes keeping memory in one place. She reserves projects for cases with heavy reference material she wants kept separate—like her chronic health project (lab results), a books-trained spiritual therapist project, an ADHD parenting project, an email copywriter project (which she also has as a skill but gets better output from the project version), a coaching project (trained on transcripts), and a "1K day experiment" project (diaries)—and she'll sometimes move a chat between regular Claude and a project as needed. She's iterated over time, initially creating more projects and then scaling back to skills where they worked just as well, and separately uses projects in "co-work" for scheduled tasks like her morning briefing and Coffee with Claude, since projects seem to keep that memory more consistent and organized.
