Kate's take, in a sentence or two

Kate says she used to say yes to almost every podcast invite, figuring any show could blow up and she'd rather ride the wave than risk missing out. Now that she needs less raw visibility, she's more selective and leans toward passive options like ads instead of big podcast tours—so she recently turned down a health podcast because its audience isn't her ideal client (entrepreneurs), even though she could see an argument for doing it given her own chronic illness story. Still, she generally keeps an open, "you never know" mindset and likes paying forward the chances bigger names once took on her.
