You mentioned this on the Jenna Debrief today about the more emails you send, the more sales. This is just an observation - Jenna emails like once a week and I think mostly has cart open/close type of model. Do you think her audience is "trained" that when she is selling something, they buy in that launch. Your model is cart-open all the time with flash sales, etc. What made you go with that model? Also, on that webinar - she gave a big bonus of giving away her Pinterest course - did that help with sales?

Kate's take, in a sentence or two

Kate said she doesn't like the cart-open/cart-close model because it creates artificial urgency, doesn't align with her values of meeting people where they are, and brought "desperate energy" into her business when she relied on launches to cover expenses. She prefers her evergreen model with flash sales because the daily momentum of constant sales feels service-oriented and confidence-boosting, and she noticed that cart-close launches led to lower completion rates and more refund requests since people were forced to buy in a window that didn't always work for them. On the bonus question, she said Jenna's Pinterest course bonus likely helped sales but was relatively small compared to the $1,500 course price, and it caused some objections since many buyers already owned it—making her think a "credit" style bonus might work better for future joint launches.
