Editing to add - this is my first time in the telegram group - is this even the right place to ask such questions?! I recently watched a very convincing sales pitch for a coach who trains people on Youtube Funnel Playlists. I didn't buy, but only because I prioritized joining the Room, instead! 🙂 But I would love to know your thoughts. She talked about how youtube gets scrolled by AI (or whatever the proper term is) and so it's a greate way to start showing up in AI searches and recomendations. Her whole thing was about creating a playlist that acts as a funnel and stop going for lots of views and start going for conversion. I know youtube could be considered social media but it's also considered evergreen... so I would just LOVe to know your thoughts. I have benefitted so so so much from your courses... If you ever do a GIDW on this I would be there YESTERDAY lol
Kate's answer
Kate's take, in a sentence or two
Kate explained that YouTube is essentially a search engine, not social media, even though it's borrowed some social features like liking and subscribing—so like blogs and podcasts, it's "search first" content that gets crawled by Google and AI engines and can support both AEO and SEO. She said a YouTube playlist-as-funnel strategy could absolutely work, similar to a blog series funnel, but cautioned against trying to run a blog, podcast, and YouTube channel all at once—better to pick the one platform that feels most aligned with your strengths (writing vs. video vs. audio) and go deep there. She also gently redirected the questioner, noting this space is meant for her to share what she's doing in her own business rather than general strategy coaching, and suggested future questions be framed more like "why did you choose X" rather than "what do you think of Y."
