01 · The question

What are your thoughts on selling a pdf Vs a course. Essentially a course in a pdf version. My learning style has changed over the years where I prefer reading and then implementing. Rather than listening to a recording. Curious if that’s the same for buyers.

Kate's take, in a sentence or two

Kate explained that she and Rachel took their course video transcripts and used AI to turn them into a branded, visually broken-up HTML course portal instead of leaving it as raw video or a plain PDF. Her recommendation is to avoid leading with "PDF" as a format since it caps perceived value, whereas a course-like portal feels premium and can be priced much higher—even if it's the same content, just packaged and positioned differently (like Laura Belgray does). She noted this approach also solves her own preference to quickly read and implement information rather than sit through hours of video, and you can always layer in live call recordings or extras later.
